As per the latest developments, Arunachal Pradesh has now opened a portal for the issue of an e-Inner Line Permit (eILP) to make travel easier for tourists. If reports are believed, the most recent developments will allow tourists to get faster, more efficient, and easier admission in the state.

Arunachal is part of the Inner Permit Regime protected under the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation, 1873, which is the reason tourists need to obtain ILP in order to travel through the state. In the present, if the reports are true, this portal, created by the department of IT department, was specifically designed for tourists.

In a tweet, chief minister Pema Khandu said, “The eILP launched today is a fantastic initiative to help only tourists and ease their entry into the state. It will make it easier for them to go through the process of getting ILP. There is no wait time for tourists to apply for ILP electronically. Approval and application process are simplified.”

The official further explained that ID card-based registrations that include self-verification using mobile phones and QR Code-based ILP issued digitally will be utilized and verified by police officers at checkpoints with special mobile-based applications, the Chief Minister stated. He also said that the system would facilitate the speedier travel of visitors.
