You can get a rich and old cultural heritage in Sibsagar
city. This is the capital of the Ahom
Kings who controlled Assam for 600
years until the British seized power in 1826.
One can still search out the palaces, remains, and temples of the
Ahoms, which are now protected as national
statues.
The city is placed in the centre of an enormous 129-acre lake
known as Sibsagar Lake. Ahom King’s old capital
is at Charaideo which is 28 km east of
Sibsagar.
Charaideo is popular for its members of the
royal family, pyramid-like tombs of the kings, bricks and built
of stones. At Sivasagar, you will explore
Rang Ghar, Kareng Ghar, and Talatal Ghar.
Stay overnight at Jorhat hotel.
Morning, after breakfast, travel to Neemati Ghat
to take a boat for Majuli River Island which is
called as “treasure of Assamese Culture”.
Majuli River Island is the World largest
inhabited River Island. Traverse to Auniati Satra and
Kamalabari Satra to know more about Assamese
culture.
Then in the evening, get back to Neemati ghat by
boat from Kamalabari. Finally, visit
Kaziranga National Park (83 km) and stay
overnight in a resort at Kaziranga.
The morning of this day, travel to the central range of the park
to get a closer view of the amazing elephant
safari and you can definitely get a sight of the
Great Indian One Horn Rhinoceros.
After this journey, go to the resort for breakfast and
relaxement. In the evening, explore the western range of the
park which is rich in flora and fauna for an
unforgettable jeep safari.
The deep truth of the aqua life by the water bodies increases the
park beauty. Due to water bodies and grazing land, this range is
popular for large animals.
Get back to the resort for an overnight stay in the evening.
After having done with breakfast in the morning, move to
Guwahati, Commercial hub of Northeast
India.
This is also known as the city of temples like Balaji
Temple, Maa Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Island Temple,
Sukleshwar Temple, Nabagraha Temple, Ugra Tara Temple,
Basista Temple, Ashakalanta Temple, Doul Gubinda Temple,

After checking in at the resort, enjoy the evening by exploring
Balaji Temple, Govt. Emporium or optional Dinner
