From Dec 15, Air India will operate three weekly direct flights to San Francisco

By launching new direct flights between Mumbai and San Francisco, Air India, the Indian full-service carrier owned by the Tata Group, plans to expand its international presence.

Flights on this new route are scheduled to begin on December 15, 2022, according to the airline’s announcement.

“Fly direct from Mumbai to San Francisco, thrice a week, starting 15th December 2022, with round-trip fares from Rs 1,02,837/- First. Fastest. Non-stop,” Air India announced on Twitter.

Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, Air India will operate three nonstop flights between Mumbai and San Francisco to meet the growing demand for travel. Here is the detailed schedule for these flights.

Air India’s official website, online travel websites, call centers, and city offices have already opened for booking these flights. A round trip airfare of Rs 1,02,837 will also be offered for Mumbai-San Francisco-Mumbai as part of the airline’s inaugural offering.

There are three cabin layouts on the Boeing 777-200LR: 8 First Class seats, 35 Business Class seats, and 195 Economy Class seats. Air India will offer flights between Mumbai and New York using the luxurious B777-200LR.

Flights to the US and UK with Air India

This will be part of Air India’s ongoing effort to reclaim its place on the global aviation map by adding 20 weekly flights to San Francisco in the United States and Birmingham and London in the United Kingdom.

As a result, the airline will be able to provide more than 5,000 additional seats per week, as well as plenty of connectivity, convenience, and cabin space options. Five additional flights per week have been added to Birmingham, nine additional flights have been added to London, and six additional flights have been added to San Francisco.
