Tour Overview
This 3-day Mumbai tour offers a complete blend of heritage, local culture, Bollywood glamour and island history. Start with a full-day city tour covering Gateway of India, CST Terminus, Marine Drive, Dhobi Ghat and Gandhi’s residence, followed by a guided slum tour in Dharavi. Day two takes you deep into Bollywood’s behind-the-scenes magic, including VFX sets, live shooting, dance performances and celebrity photo ops. On the final day, sail across the harbour to the ancient Elephanta Caves and witness the famous Dabbawala lunch-delivery system in action.

Detailed Itinerary
Your tour begins with pickup from your hotel or preferred location in Mumbai. Start at the UNESCO-listed Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), one of Mumbai’s most iconic landmarks inspired by Victorian Gothic architecture.
Continue to the Gateway of India, followed by a scenic drive through Marine Drive and the bustling business district of Nariman Point. Visit Mani Bhawan, where Mahatma Gandhi lived during his Mumbai years.
Stop at Mahalaxmi Dhobi Ghat, the world’s largest open-air laundry, and observe the century-old washing system in action. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of Dharavi Slum to understand its industries, communities and everyday life.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Today you dive into the world of Bollywood. Visit a professional film studio and explore VFX rooms, live shooting sets and behind-the-scenes production work. Watch technicians operate cameras, lighting and sound setups.
Enjoy a Bollywood dance show performed by trained artists and learn a few steps yourself. Visit makeup rooms, explore themed sets and take photographs with a Bollywood actor (subject to availability).
Lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant before concluding the studio tour. Overnight in Mumbai.
Begin with a visit to see Mumbai’s famed Dabbawala system — the incredibly organized lunchbox delivery network known worldwide for its precision and efficiency.
Continue to the Gateway of India for a boat ride to Elephanta Island. Explore the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring magnificent rock-cut temples dating back to the 5th century.
See the impressive Trimurti Sadasiva sculpture and learn about the cave’s mythological carvings and historical significance.
Return to Mumbai by afternoon and get dropped back at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your 3-day adventure.

- A 40% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
- The balance is payable 15 days before the tour or upon arrival in India, if agreed in advance.
- Payments must be made using the official bank or secure payment details provided by Tusk Travel.
- International transfer, card-processing and currency-conversion charges are payable by the traveller.
- 60 days or more before arrival: 10% cancellation charge.
- 59–30 days before arrival: 20% cancellation charge.
- 29–15 days before arrival: 25% cancellation charge.
- 14–8 days before arrival: 50% cancellation charge.
- 7 days or less before arrival, or no-show: 100% cancellation charge (no refund).
- Issued flight, train, permit and special-event bookings may be non-refundable.
