Tour Overview

The wildlife, historical sites, and tea plantations in northeastern India are well-known. Assam's capital, Guwahati, offers to visit the hilltop, Kamakhya Temple.

In addition to Cherrapunji, the rainiest spot in the world, you should also visit Kaziranga National Park. It is also breathtakingly beautiful in Arunachal Pradesh's Bhalukpong, Dirang, and Tawang.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 :Arrival Guwahati

On arrival upon your arrival at Guwahati airport, you'll meet with our representative who will greet you with a welcome sign with your name. After greeting you with a warm smile then the driver will transfer you to the hotel.

If you have some spare time after checking in the tour will guide you to some famous attractions as a warm-up to the 13-day North East India tour.

The first visit to Kamakhya Temple, a famous temple dating from the 7th century. As dusk falls, visitors can take in the breathtaking sunset over the Brahmaputra River by renting boats.

Day 2 :Guwahati to Bhalukpong (5 Hrs Drive)

After breakfast, we'll take you towards Bhalukpong. At the time of arrival, you'll be assisted in checking into the hotel.

Enjoy evening time near the hotel.

Day 3 :Bhalukpong to Dirang

The next morning we'll continue driving to Dirang which is a peaceful village that is surrounded by lush vegetation. When you arrive the tour guide begins in Dirang Dzong, also known as Dirang Fort.

It was built in the 17th century the fort was an inn located on the top that allows you to admire the magnificent views of the picturesque village.

After that, we'll accompany you to explore an entirely different culture in Monpa village and become acquainted with the Tibetan Buddhist religion. Then, we'll take you back to your hotel for check-in.

Day 4 :Dirang to Tawang

After breakfast, your 13-day North East India tour will continue to Tawang with a private vehicle. En-route visit, we'll visit Sela Pass, a high mountain pass at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters (over 13,000 feet).

The snow-capped landscape is adorned with a vibrant gate in Tibetan style, and get to see Sela Lake. Sela Lake is believed to be a holy Lake by Tibetan Buddhists. After about 20 km's driving, you'll reach and go to a war memorial that has vibrant Hindu-style structures, namely Jaswant Ghar.

If you have time we will visit the 100-meter high Nuranang Falls before our arrival in Tawang. It looks like an unintentional white ribbon on the green cliffs, this stunning waterfall was also the location of filming for the film Bollywood.

When you arrive at the hotel you booked in Tawang We will assist you through the check-in process.

Day 5 :Tawang Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, we'll travel to the 300-year-old Tawang Monastery, the second largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery worldwide.

With a total space of 13.500 square meters, this sacred monastery is home to more than 70 buildings in which thousands of Tibetan lamas live. The peaceful, as well as the spiritual atmosphere here, makes the perfect way to begin your morning.

Then, we'll go on to an additional Tibetan Buddhist site - Urgelling Monastery where the 6th  Dalia Lama was born, and after that, we will go to Ani Gompa, a peaceful monastery. In the following, you will be taken to the site of today's final visit which is the Tawang War Memorial.

After the tour, we'll transfer returning you to the hotel.

Day 6 :Tawang to Bomdila

After breakfast, Drive to Bomdila which is a stunning city that is situated at an altitude of more than 2400m (over seven 900 feet).

While we are there, we will stop at Nuranang Falls in the event that we didn't see this on our fourth trip and then stop at an excursion to the GRL Monastery, which is sometimes referred to by the name of Upper Gompa.

 It is one of the most renowned monasteries of the Lamaists the monastery is an ideal spot to get closer to Mahayana Buddhism. After arriving in Bomdila We will transfer you to the check-in pre-booked hotel.

Day 7 :Bomdila to Tezpur

A leisurely drive will bring you to a tranquil town close to the Brahmaputra River, which is Tezpur. If we're still able to spare enough time to explore the town upon arriving We will take you to Tezpur's Mahabhairav Temple.

Mahabhairav Temple, a Hindu temple believed to be constructed out of living stone in legend, is the small hill Agnigarh known for its significance in Hindu mythology.

After that, we visit a local market that will display interesting handicrafts and exotic spices you may have never seen before.

Day 8 :Tezpur up to Shillong

In the morning, we will proceed to Shillong with a 7-hour private drive. On the way, we'll visit the serene Umiam Lake, which is sometimes referred to as Barapani Lake.

The mirror-like lake without boundaries, as well as the gently rolling hills and lush trees, create an amazing scene that will definitely be worth the storage space for your camera.

Following the visit, we'll proceed to take you to your hotel in Shillong for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 9 :Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong

After breakfast, we'll begin our journey to Cherrapunjee which is a town that is humid and filled with lush waterfalls and lush green hills surrounded by stunning nature.

We'll stop for a break to take in the multi-tier Elephant Falls between verdant trees and ascend Shillong Peak, Shillong's highest spot from which you can enjoy an amazing panoramic view over Shillong city.

When we arrive in Cherrapunjee the first thing we'll do is go toward Mawsmai Cave to explore the amazing stalactites and stalagmites with bizarre shapes, as well as Nohkalikai Falls with a height of over 300m (over 1000 feet).

Later in the day, we'll proceed towards Thankarang Park for an enjoyable stroll that is infused with the fresh air and soothing sound of waterfalls.

A visit to the massive rock called Koh Ramhah will conclude our tour today. It's a wonderful experience to take in its unique shape and listen to interesting stories of its history.

Please note: If you want to take in the most stunning views from the waterfalls, it is advised to plan your Cherrapunjee excursion during the monsoon season which runs from June until September.

Day 10 :Shillong - Mawllynnong Village - Dawki - Shillong

In the morning, after breakfast, you'll visit the awarded cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong. Visit the 100+ year-long Living Root Bridge of Riwai Village and then take a quick 10-minute hike.

After that, you'll be driving near the border between India and Bangladesh for a visit to Dawki Village. It is renowned for being the place to be for the clear and crystal-clear waters that flow from the Umngot River.

See the clear water bed that flows through the Umngot River. Umngot River, also known as Dawki River. In the evening, you can return to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 11 :Shillong - Kaziranga

Post breakfast, travel to Kaziranga National Park, famous for its One-horned Rhino.

After arriving at Kaziranga they are transferred to the lodge for wildlife. Relax on the river's banks at night.

Day 12 :Kaziranga Elephant Safari and Jeep Safari

Enjoy an Elephant Safari which starts from 5:30 am to 06:30 am. Drive back to the resort for a delicious breakfast.

After breakfast, the jeep safari will begin towards the central range within the Kaziranga national park. After that, return to the hotel for lunch.

After lunch, head out on a second jeep safari towards the western part of the Park. In the evening, you can relax.

Day 13 :Kaziranga to Guwahati - Departure

Morning, today after breakfast, head to Guwahati. Transfer to Guwahati airport for your flight. We wish you a safe return journey!
