Uttar Pradesh's New Tourism Initiatives: Tent City, Hot Air Balloons, and Water Sports

The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, in collaboration with the Varanasi Development Authority (VDA), has recently inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This strategic partnership aims to elevate the tourism experience in the region by introducing a ‘tent city’ and enhancing the recreational activities available to visitors. Among the new offerings, tourists can look forward to thrilling hot air balloon rides and a variety of water sports activities.

Jaiveer Singh, the state’s Tourism and Culture Minister, expressed optimism about the MoU’s potential impact. Not only will it enhance the tourism experience, but it will also pave the way for increased employment opportunities for the local populace.

He proudly stated, “At present, Uttar Pradesh is leading in domestic tourism in the country. Our effort is to achieve the top spot in terms of attracting foreign tourists also.”
