How the Journey Is Planned
Delhi provides an introduction to both historic Old Delhi and the planned avenues of New Delhi. The route continues to Agra for the Taj Mahal before travelling through Fatehpur Sikri to Jaipur.
Jaipur adds Amber Fort, royal palaces and the old city before the journey continues by air to Varanasi. Here, the evening Ganga Aarti and an early-morning river experience reveal two very different sides of the sacred waterfront.

Detailed Itinerary
Welcome to India. On arrival at Delhi Airport, our Tusk Travel representative will meet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, relax and recover from your journey.
Later, receive a short briefing about your Golden Triangle with Varanasi tour, including hotel details, sightseeing plan, flight schedule, and important travel tips. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
Overnight stay in Delhi.
After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Delhi. Start with Old Delhi, where you can visit Jama Masjid and explore the lively lanes of Chandni Chowk.
Later, continue to New Delhi and visit Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Raj Ghat, India Gate, the President’s House, Parliament House, and Laxmi Narayan Temple.
Overnight stay in Delhi.
After breakfast, drive to Agra, the historic Mughal city known worldwide for the Taj Mahal. On arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax.
Later, visit the world-famous Taj Mahal, followed by Agra Fort, a grand Mughal fortress with royal palaces, courtyards, and impressive views. In the evening, visit Mehtab Bagh for beautiful sunset views of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River.
Overnight stay in Agra.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Jaipur, the colourful capital of Rajasthan. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the former Mughal capital built by Emperor Akbar.
Explore its red sandstone palaces, audience halls, courtyards, and the impressive Buland Darwaza. Later, continue your drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax for the evening.

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour with the majestic Amber Fort, located on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake. Explore its grand courtyards, royal halls, gateways, and the famous Sheesh Mahal.
Later, visit City Palace Museum, Jantar Mantar, and enjoy a photo stop at Hawa Mahal. In the evening, explore Jaipur’s colourful local markets for textiles, jewellery, handicrafts, and souvenirs.

After breakfast, transfer to Jaipur airport for your flight to Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world and a major spiritual centre of India.
On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, visit Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the famous Ganga Aarti ceremony, where lamps, chants, bells, and devotional rituals create a deeply moving spiritual experience.
Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Early morning, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the River Ganges as the ghats come alive with prayers, rituals, and sunrise views. This is one of the most memorable experiences in Varanasi.
After breakfast, visit important places such as Banaras Hindu University, Bharat Mata Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple area, and the old city lanes. Later, proceed to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after enlightenment. Visit Dhamek Stupa, Buddhist temples, and the museum area.
Overnight stay in Varanasi.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Varanasi Airport for your flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, connect with your onward international flight as per schedule.

Eight days is enough for a well-planned introduction to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Varanasi. The schedule is moderately active and focuses on the major highlights. Travellers wanting a slower journey should add an extra night in Jaipur or Varanasi.
October to March generally offers the most comfortable sightseeing conditions. December and January can bring cold mornings and occasional fog, especially in Delhi, Agra and Varanasi. April to June is considerably hotter.
Delhi to Agra normally takes approximately three to four hours. Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri can take five to six hours, including the sightseeing stop. All driving times depend on traffic and road conditions.
The Taj Mahal is closed to general visitors every Friday. If the Agra visit falls on a Friday, the sightseeing order or travel dates will need to be adjusted before the hotels and flights are confirmed.
Domestic flights are included only when specifically listed in the final quotation. Flight schedules may change, and the Jaipur–Varanasi journey may require a connection. Timings, baggage allowance and fare conditions will be confirmed before ticketing.
The evening Ganga Aarti normally takes place daily, but arrangements can change during festivals or local restrictions. The boat ride is subject to safe weather, visibility and river conditions.
Yes. Hotel category, guides, flights, sightseeing and the number of nights can be changed. Extra nights can be added in Jaipur or Varanasi, and the route can be extended to include Ranthambore, Ayodhya or another destination.
