In reverence to the temple's sanctity, a specific dress code has been mandated. Men are required to wear Dhoti-Kurti and women Saree for 'sparsh darshan' (entering the sanctum). However, visitors in western attire can still worship outside the sanctum. How to Reach Kashi Vishwanath Temple

The temple is approximately 5 km from the Varanasi railway station. The most convenient way to reach there is via taxi or auto rickshaw. However, Vishwanath Gali, leading to the temple, is not accessible by motor vehicles, requiring visitors to walk the final stretch. This pedestrian path is an integral part of the journey, filled with sights and sounds that prepare one spiritually before entering the temple.
