Lalbagh Botanical Garden is a plethora of rare flowers and trees which was commissioned to start under the governance of Hyder Ali. The garden is spread over an area of 240 acres and was an inspired concept from the gardens of Sira in the Tumkur District. Tipu Sultan imported flowers for display in the garden from France, Persia, and Arab which was a rare sighting in India. Lalbagh Botanical Garden is now a hotspot for tourists who visit Bangalore. It also attracts lakhs of people from all around the country during the time of the flower show.
