Vidhana Soudha houses the State Legislature and the Secretariate of Karnataka. It is exclaimed to be “A Temple Dedicated to the Nation” by Jawaharlal Nehru and is also the largest legislative building in the country. The magnificent structure was completed in the year 1956 and was built under the guidance of the then chief minister of Mysore, Kengal Hanumanthiah. The Taj Mahal of South India is spread over 60 acres and is a stunning white building built in the Neo-Dravidian style of architecture.
