Tour of Saints of South India is a 12 nights and 13 days package. It provides a wonderful opportunity for people to visit renowned temples and ashrams of the famous saints of South India.

On taking this tour, you will visit some of the most popular sacred destinations of South India such as Puttaparthi, Mahabalipuram, Tirupati, Trivandrum, Kanyakumari, and Madurai. This itinerary also comprises sightseeing in Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 :Mumbai

Welcome to Mumbai! On reaching Mumbai airport, you will be greeted by our tour representative. He will escort you to a pre-booked hotel and perform check-in formalities at the hotel.

You will relax in the hotel and spend the day on your own. In the evening you can visit nearby streets if you want to. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 :Mumbai Sightseeing

Your sightseeing will begin today morning. You will be taken to the Gateway of India from where you will reach Elephanta Caves. This is a popular place situated on an island at a distance of ten kilometers from the shores of Mumbai. Elephanta caves comprise brilliantly designed temples that are carved from solid rock that gives a glimpse of the 7th century. One of the major attractions of this place is the three-headed idol of Lord Shiva, popularly called ‘Trimurti’. From there, you will leave for a city tour.

You will stop by the Gateway of India to capture a few photos. On your city tour, you will also visit a few monuments that were developed during the British era. These are the Mumbai University, High Court, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, and Rajabai Clock Tower. Overnight sight is planned in the hotel.

Day 3 :Mumbai - Bangalore - Puttaparthi

After breakfast, you will head towards the domestic airport to catch a flight to Bangalore. On reaching Bangalore, you will depart for Puttaparthi via a road trip. This place is the sacred abode of the highly renowned spiritual personality Late Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

When you reach Puttaparthi, you will check in at a pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore surrounding places, learn about the lifestyle of the locals, and more. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 :Puttaparthi

Today, after breakfast, you will explore Puttaparthi. This will include a visit to Sri Sathya Sai Baba Ashram, called Prasanthi Nilayam ashram.

This place attracts a huge number of people from all parts of the world. It is mainly visited by followers of this saint. Overnight stay planned in the hotel.

Day 5 :Puttaparthi - Tirupati

After your breakfast, you will drive towards Tirupati. It is considered to be one of the highly known religious places in the southern area of India.

On reaching this place, you will be transferred to a pre-booked hotel. Your sightseeing will continue with a visit to Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, widely called Lord Balaji Temple.

This temple is regarded as one of the second richest centers of pilgrimage all across the world, after the Sree Padmanabhaswamy shrine in Kerala. An overnight stay is arranged in the hotel.

Day 6 :Tirupati - Chennai

After breakfast, you will depart for Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu via the road route. When you reach Chennai, you will check in at a pre-booked hotel and get all the formalities done.

You can rest for a while and then leave for sightseeing in Chennai. This will include places such as Marina Beach, Fort St. George, Kapaleeshwar temple, etc. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 :Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

After a good breakfast, you will depart for Mahabalipuram. En route you will visit Kanchipuram, that is popularly known for beautiful shrines of the Hindu religion in South India.

You will visit several temples on the tour, one of them being the most famous Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Amman Temple, that is dedicated to Goddess Parvati.

By the evening, you will reach Mahabalipuram. Check in at a pre-booked hotel and stay overnight.

Day 8 :Day Trip to Ramana Maharshi Ashram and Thiruvannamalai

After breakfast, you will visit Thiruvannamalai. This place houses the peaceful and serene Ramana Maharshi ashram, initiated by the famous saint Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.

You will observe the spiritual activities performed daily. You can even visit other places of local attractions that include Virupaksha the Cave and Arunachaleswara Temple.

Return to Mahabalipuram city for a night's stay.

Day 9 :Mahabalipuram - Madurai

Post breakfast, you will be transferred to the domestic airport to catch a flight to Madurai. On reaching Madurai, complete the check-in formalities at a pre-booked hotel.

Next, you will visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple for Darshan. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati and her husband lord Shiva. It appeals to thousands of disciples every day.

The rest of your day is free for relaxation or leisure activities. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 10 :Madurai - Kanyakumari

After breakfast, you will leave for a half-day tour of beautiful Madurai city. This tour will include a visit to Koodal Azhagar Temple, ThirumalaiNayakkar Mahal,etc.

After lunch, you will drive to Kanyakumari via road. Check in at a pre-booked hotel and stay overnight.

Day 11 :Kanyakumari Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will see some beautiful and renowned places in Kanyakumari, that includes Vivekananda Memorial Rock. This statue was developed in the year 1970 in the memory of Swami Vivekananda.

On this tour, you will visit a few other popular tourist spots in Kanyakumari such as the Gandhi Mandapam, Kumari Amman Temple, Padmanabhapuram Palace, etc. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 12 :Mata Amritanandamayi Ashram - Trivandrum

After breakfast, you will visit Mata Amritanandamayi Ashram to take her blessings and participate in her spiritual program.

Next, you will drive to Trivandrum via road. On arriving in the city, you will check in at a pre-booked hotel.

After taking a rest for a while, you will continue your sightseeing by visiting the famous Lord Vishnu’s “Padmnabhaswamy temple”.

Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 13 :Trivandrum - Mumbai

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Trivandrum airport from where you will board a flight to Mumbai city.

Once you reach Mumbai airport you can follow your onward journey.
