Air India Express to Launch New Flights to Bahrain and Dammam

Air India Express, as part of its effort to increase the number of international routes served by the airline, has scheduled two new flights from the state capital of Kerala to the Middle East in the next two weeks in order to expand its international routes.

It was announced in a press release issued by Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Ltd (TIAL) that the airline will launch flights from Thiruvananthapuram to Dammam in Saudi Arabia on December 1 and Thiruvananthapuram to Bahrain on November 30.

Following Gulf Air, which currently operates daily flights between the two cities, Air India Express will be the second airline to operate services between Thiruvananthapuram and Bahrain. Gulf Air already operates daily flights between the two cities.

Thiruvananthapuram and Dammam will now have a direct flight operated by Air India Express.

Flights Between Thiruvananthapuram and Bahrain, Dammam

The Thiruvananthapuram-Bahrain flight will depart here at 5.35 PM on Wednesdays and Sundays and arrive there at 8.05 PM (local time). The flight will depart Bahrain at 9.05 p.m. (local time) and arrive in Thiruvananthapuram at 4.25 am.

In accordance with the TIAL release, the flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Dammam would leave at 5.35 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and arrive here at 8.25 PM. The flight would leave at 9.25 PM and arrive here at 5.05 AM.

TIAL said Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a 180-passenger capacity will be used for the services, and booking has begun for both flights.

Also last month, Air India Express announced the launch of a direct international flight between Vijayawada and Sharjah beginning October 31. AED 399 and Rs 13,669 are the fares for the Vijayawada-Sharjah sector of the flight, which took off at 06.35 pm on October 31.
