India Gate

India Gate is one of the major attractions in Delhi as it was built for the martyrs of World War II. It was built in 1921 the Rajpath looks insanely amazing with the lights lit in the India Gate. The garden located next to India Gate is decorated in a nice way and many visitors spend some quality time in the garden.

The Amar Jyoti burns continuously at the India Gate in memory of the soldiers who laid their lives for India. The India gate Parade during Republic Day is a feast to watch. It is open on all days for visitors.

Qutub Minar

Qutub Minar is a five-storeyed tall building which has scriptures and structures embedded in it and it is 73m in height. The Qutub Minar was designed especially to get a whole view of Delhi. It is a mixture of Persian and Iranian architecture and it is simply superb to visit. It has declared as a UNESCO Heritage Site.

The area is quite vast and it has entry fees separate for children and adult. People love spending some leisure time in Qutub Minar.

Akshardham Temple

Akshardham Temple is one of the largest Hindu Temples in India and the best thing to admire is the combination of pink and white marbles that is used in making of this temple. This temple is located on the banks of Yamuna and it has a Mandap and Darshan is possible for all visitors.

There is a cultural boat ride which provides you with an insight into the entire history of Akshardham temple. The garden is theme based and it is so beautiful and lively. The Sahaj Anand Water show should not be missed as it portrays an illusion of lighting in this temple.

Lotus Temple

The Lotus Temple is one of the most visited sightseeing places in Delhi. The Bahai Lotus Temple is a perfect example that God is one and all religions should be treated equally. The Lotus temple has nine doors from which 2,500 visitors can enter at the same time.

The Lotus temple is designed in the shape of a lotus and the architecture has the awe to capture anyone’s heart. A guided tour is preferred to understand the history of the temple. Shoes are to be kept outside before entering.

Rajghat

Rajghat is the cremation centre of Gandhiji and thousands of visitors come to Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi Smriti shows you the location in which Gandhi was shot dead. The room is designed in the same way as it was at his home and before 144 days to his death.

The room is open to the public and one can pray there. They can also give flowers in respect of the noble person. The work that Gandhiji did for India is simply outstanding.

Agrasen ki Baoli

Agrasen ki Baoli was basically a well in the olden times and people used to go down to bring fresh water for their daily activities. It is 60m in height and 15m wide and there are many steps to reach the centre of the place.

The architecture of this Baoli Is something to look out for as it is intricate and shows you the beauty of the work in the golden era. This Baoli is also known to be haunted at night and it is closed at 5 pm every day.

Hauz Khaus Fort

The Hauz Khaus Fort is located alongside a splendid lake and the view is stunning. It was re-excavated by Firoz Shah Tuglaq and it has become a famous tourist spot now. One can witness several birds from this fort and it is also considered as a picnic spot.

The fort has ruined to a great extent but it is a really good place to capture photography. It was designed in the 13th century.
