Lotus Temple, Delhi

The Lotus Temple is a building dedicated to the Bahai faith located in the National capital of New Delhi. This magnificent building is developed in the form of a magnificent white petal lotus and is one of the world's most visited facilities. This shrine was designed and completed in 1986 by Canadian architect Fariborz Sahba.

This temple aims to propagate the Almighty's uniqueness and is open to everyone, regardless of nationality, religion, race or sex. The Temple of the Lotus is one of the seven Bahai worship houses worldwide.

When you enter the temple complex, you will find a lovely entrance gate, lovely floral gardens, and sparkling ponds. The way to the temple doors is bordered by lush green plants, and despite the sparkling crowd, a feeling of tranquillity adorns the atmosphere. Once inside, you will become engrossed in mesmerizing architecture.

Religious texts of any faith are read and sung, and musical interpretations of religious texts can be sung in the temple complex without any inhibits. The Temple of Bahai Lotus is undoubtedly an obligatory place to visit in the capital. Not only for its magnificent architecture but also in an entirely different and happy environment.

This temple is built in the form of a lotus flower east of the Nehru Nagar and is the last of the 7 Major Bahai temples that were constructed worldwide. Completed in 1986, it is located in the lush green countryside. The structure is made of pure white marble, which was common to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Islam by the architect. Members of any faith may visit and pray or meditate in the Temple freely. Nine bowls of water lit up in natural light around the flowering petals. When the water is lit, the shower looks spectacular.
