Botanical Garden Srinagar, Kashmir

Srinagar botanical garden, which is named after India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, is the green destination for any traveler traversing through Jammu and Kashmir. The park was formed in 1969, near the foothills of the Zabarwan range. 

The cheerful landscape of the hills and the eye-catching Dal lake encompass the entire garden. Anyone feels attracted towards this part of the 'heaven on earth. The park comprises approximately 150,00 different types of plants. It's enriched with tropical plants and plenty of oaks and pines that enhance the garden's panoramic view. The eye-soothing view of the hills from the garden is enough compensation for the tiny amount that visitors pay as ticket price. 

The garden has four different sections with different functions - Recreational Garden, Botanical Garden, Plant Introduction Center, and Research Section. So it's not only a destination for travelers, but also for the students who are keen to research tropical plants.

You can also spend time here doing picnics or taking photoshoots. Moreover, if anyone wishes to spend time in solitude in the lap of nature, it is the perfect place.

Visitors do get the chance of riding paddle boats in this lake as well.
