Kibber is 18 km from Kaza in Spiti Valley. From Manali or Shimla, you can reach Kaza and then drive to Kibber by taxi or shared jeep. Roads are challenging but extremely scenic, especially in summer.
The best time to spot snow leopards is between December and February when they descend to lower altitudes in search of prey. Specialized guided expeditions from Kibber offer higher chances of sightings during this period.
Kibber mainly offers homestays and guesthouses run by locals. Facilities are basic but comfortable, with traditional meals included. Luxury hotels are not available; instead, visitors enjoy authentic Spitian hospitality.
