Panch Mahal, Agra
It is a palace which is located in Fatehpur Sikri. The name Panch Mahal means five-level palace. It was built by emperor Akbar. Earlier, this palace was used by queens and other ladies of court for the purpose of pleasure. It is also known as the badger or the wind tower. It is made up of red sandstone and comprises five pavilions, and each of the pavilions is connected with the next floor by a flight of stairs. The ground floor of Panch Mahal is made up of 84 pillars, but when you raise upwards the number of pillars will decrease.
All the pillars were in Persian architecture. The palace is an entertainment center for visitors, and there is also a pool which lies in the front of Panch Mahal named Anoop Talao, which is filled with water and used for musical performance during the time of Akbar. People visited this palace and liked this very much and enjoyed it a lot.
