Jama Masjid, Agra
It is resided in the city of Agra and is opposite the Agra fort. It is popularly known as Jami Masjid or Friday Mosque. It is very famous as it is the largest mosque in India. It was founded by Emperor Shah Jahan, and it costs 10 crores in constructing this masjid. It contains the best of both styles of Hindu and Muslim architecture. It is constructed with red-colored sandstone and has intricate detailing and white marble decorations, which makes it more attractive.
The Walls and roofs of the mosque are blue in color. It is a large mosque and is surrounded by a grand bazaar. Its prayer chamber is on its western side, and its courtyard is surrounded by cloisters from three of its sides. It is beneficial for reference of the crowded bazaar. It is very beautifully decorated. It contains lovely paintings, carving, and glazed tiles. The main entrance is from the eastern side. It is a very Enormous and peaceful mosque for visitors.
