This competition was held in Thusharagiri seven times from 2013 to 2019. The 8th edition will take place in 2022 after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of groups work collectively to arrange the Worldwide Kayaking event, including the State Tourism Division, the State Travel Tourism Promotion Society, the Indian Canoeing and Kayaking Association, the District Tourism Promotion Council, and the Thiruvambadi and Kodancherry Panchayats.

The 8th edition of the Malabar River Festival is coming to Thusharagiri in Kozhikode, Kerala (August 12-14), and we are sure when we say it will be an epic event.
