Madhya Pradesh will soon offer sky diving from 10,000 feet for Tourists

Skydiving will soon be offered in Madhya Pradesh. First, of its kind, the Madhya Pradesh tourism department is partnering with private companies to launch skydiving facilities. These are being launched in an effort to promote adventure tourism. One of the knowledgeable officials informed us of the same.

According to Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, and MD, MP Tourism Board, Bhopal and Ujjain now offer sky diving to its visitors who wish to experience the thrill of flying like a bird in the sky.

Additionally, they are planning to conduct sky diving camps on March 1 and 2 in Bhopal and March 3 to 6 in Ujjain, in collaboration with Pioneer Flying Academy in Aligarh, for the first time in the state.

From the airstrip in Ujjain and the airport near the Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal, the camps will be set up, from where interested tourists will be able to get a chance to dive at a height of more than 10000 feet.

He said adventure lovers have had to travel outside the country to experience skydiving up until now. The only place in India that offers this service is in Haryana, however the tourism board in Madhya Pradesh is now offering it at low fees with the highest standards of safety, he said.

Further, he informed that the aircraft for which skydiving will take place is registered with the Directorate of Civil Aviation.
