Bharat Gaurav train will run to Northeast India on March 21

The Indian Railways is all set to launch the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train on March 21, 2023, from New Delhi Safdarjung railway station. This train will cover a complete North East Circuit and take its passengers to the most beautiful places of Northeast India, such as Sivasagar, Guwahati, Jorhat, and Kaziranga in Assam, Agartala’s Unakoti, Tripura, Kohima, and Dimapur in Nagaland, along with Shillong and Cherrapunji in Meghalaya during the 15 days tour.

The train is part of the Bharat Gaurav scheme launched by the Indian Railways in 2021 to boost Indian tourism and attract tourists from across the world. The tour is in line with the government’s initiatives, such as Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat and Dekho Apna Desh, to promote domestic tourism.

The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train is a deluxe AC train with a total capacity of 156 tourists, offering AC 1 and AC 2 tier accommodations. It features two fine dining restaurants, shower cubicles in coaches, a contemporary kitchen, sensor-based washroom functions, and more.

Passengers can board and deboard at multiple places, including Delhi, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Tundla, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Varanasi. The ticket price ranges from INR 1,06,990 per person in AC 2 Tier to INR 1,49,290 per person for AC 1 coupe, including hotel stays, train journeys, vegetarian meals, sightseeing, transfer costs, and travel insurance.
