Itinerary Details

Day 1 :Arrive Delhi

On the 1st day, this charming Monuments of India Tour begins with great happiness as you reach in Delhi. Our agent will take you from the airport and accompany you to the luxurious hotel.

You will be taken outside to explore the National Museum in the afternoon that covers a huge group of Indian antiquities.

In the evening, have a mouth-watering dinner at the hotel after a short excursion.

Day 2 :Delhi

This day, get over the Delhi streets for enjoying the capital’s multitude of attractions. As now Delhi has two parts namely New Delhi and Old Delhi, each has its own glory and charm.

You will explore Red Fort, Laxmi Narain Temple, and Jama Masjid in Old Delhi and the Parliament House, India Gate, the President’s House in the Lutyen’s Delhi.

Apart from, you will also obtain the opportunity to explore Qutub Minar and Lotus Temple. Get back to your hotel after a whole day of sightseeing.

Day 3 :Khajuraho

On the 3rd day, wake up early in the morning for your historical and heritage tour for which you will be catching a flight to Khajuraho to traverse world’s most sumptuous temples.

On reaching, you will be escorted to your hotel. In the afternoon, get ready for a saunter of the pleasing city.

Khajuraho possesses of 22 temples which are the great examples of Hindu architecture in India. Stay for a full night at Khajuraho hotel.

Day 4 :Agra

The 4th day of the Monuments of India Tour will be one of the best days of touring as you will be driving to Jhansi to get on the train to Agra.

On the way, you will be stopped to witness splendid remains of Jahangir Mahal in the town of Orchha.

You will reach Agra in the evening. Sign into your hotel for a full night stay.

Day 5 :Agra

Agra is known for its notable halt at the time of this cultural holiday in India. Agra is situated to the North of India. As it remained the capital of three Mughal Emperors namely Akbar, Shah Jahan, and Jahangir, it is known as the city of emperors.

The town is filled with samples of Mughal architecture. In spite of magnificent Taj Mahal, Agra possesses of striking Dayal Bagh, Itmad-ud-Daula’s Tomb, and Agra Fort.

As you finish with a whole day of sightseeing, retire to your hotel for a full night stay.

Day 6 :Agra – Jaipur

After having a delicious breakfast early in the morning, you will move towards Jaipur. You will explore Fatehpur Sikri on the way which is a small town and it was established as the capital of the Mughal Empire by Akbar.

However, the town was deserted soon after its construction as the local wells dried up and left unspoiled buildings behind. You will traverse through Panch Mahal, Bulland Darwaza, and Salim Chishti’s Tomb.

In the afternoon, you will reach Jaipur and you will be spending the rest of the day in your hotel to relax and refresh.

Day 7 :Jaipur

You will be taken on a trip on the day 7 to explore Amber Fort which is 13 km away from the pink city called Jaipur. Elephant ride is the best one here to relish.

Afterward, in the afternoon, you will also explore Jantar Mantar, the royal observatory; the City Palace Complex, a conglomerate of many structures and buildings; and Hawa Mahal, the place of winds.

Day 8 :Jaipur – Jodhpur

On the 8th day, you will head for Jodhpur early in the morning which is the blue city. On reaching Jodhpur, sign in to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 9 :Jodhpur

Rao Jodha established the city of Jodhpur in 1459. This day, you will experience the joy of sightseeing in this city. You will explore Mehrangarh Fort which is one of India’s biggest forts.

Witness the beautiful frescoes, ornate murals, and carvings. You will also explore Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, and Moti Mahal.

You will be taken on a guided saunter after the Fort tour to view the old town. You will spend the night in Jodhpur.

Day 10 :Udaipur

After the morning breakfast, move towards Udaipur. On the way, you will wait to explore Ranakpur which is home to India’s magnificent and largest Jain Temples. You will also explore Kumbahlgarh Fort.

You will reach Udaipur by late afternoon. Sign into your hotel and relax the rest of the leisure day. Have an overnight stay at Udaipur hotel.

Day 11 :Udaipur

You will be taken on sightseeing in the charming city of Udaipur in the morning. You will travel to the City Palace which is the biggest palace in Rajasthan along with an antiquated era Jagdish Temple.

You will also explore the garden of the maids of honour called Sahelion ki Bari. You will have the delicious lunch at an amazing family restaurant at Fateh Prakash Palace after a Lake Pichola boat ride.

Stay for overnight at Udaipur hotel.

Day 12 :Aurangabad

You will be accompanied to the airport on the 12th day to catch a flight to Mumbai where you will be again catching the flight to Aurangabad.

In the evening, you will reach Aurangabad. Sign into your hotel to have a relaxing night there.

Day 13 :Aurangabad

This is the day of exploration of Ajanta Caves which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Ajanta caves exhibit the commendable tapestry of illustrated art that talks philosophy of Buddha and volumes of the life.

British Officers who were on a tiger hunt accidentally discovered these 29 caves and it was built over a period spanning 200 BC to 650 AD.

Day 14 :Mumbai

On the 14th day of Monuments of India Tour, you will be accompanied early in the morning to explore the Ellora caves.

Ellora caves include 34 caves among which 17 are dedicated to Hinduism, 12 are Buddhist caves, and the rest 5 represent the philosophy of Jainism and they were carved between 350 BC and 700 AD.

The world’s biggest monolithic temple is the Kailasha Temple at Ellora.

Day 15 :Madurai

This day, you will be going to Madurai and you will reach here in the afternoon. The great attraction of Madurai is its charming Meenakshi Amman Temple.

It has been told that Lord Shiva come down on earth in the embodiment of Sundreswarar to wed Meenakshi who has embodied Parvati.

There is a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture called temple complex which you will explore.

Day 16 :Chettinad

Followed by a relaxed morning, drive to Chettinad which is popular for its elaborate artistic houses. Enjoy the whole day exploration of fascinating city and palace.

Return to Madurai hotel for a full night stay.

Day 17 :Tanjore – Trichy

On the 17th day, you will be taken to travel Tanjore or Thanjavur as it is a new name. As it incorporates 74 temples of a Dravidian era, it is known as the city of temples.

You will explore famed Thanjavur Palace and Brihadeswarar Temple before heading to Tiruchirapalli.

Enjoy the special evening as you will visit the fascinating Rock Fort Temple and the entire city.

Day 18 :Chennai

You will be catching the train in the morning to Chennai. Chennai is one of the four metro cities in India and it is the capital of Tamil Nadu.

The metropolis consists of silvery beaches, quaint buildings, pulsating nightlife, and rich culture. The major attractions are St. Thomas Basilica, National Art Gallery, Marina Beach, and Fort St. George.

You will be staying at a beach hotel for a full night stay after taking the pleasure of an entire city sightseeing.

Day 19 :Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram

The day 19 is the second last day of the Monuments of India Tour and this day, you will be taken to Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram which are two sacred and old towns accommodated with numerous magnificent temples.

Return to the hotel in Chennai after a full day tour for a full night stay.

Day 20 :Chennai – Delhi

This is the last day of this wonderful tour and you can relax fully. You can go for the last minute shopping as it is the last day.

A farewell dinner will be arranged for you before you leave to the airport to catch the flight to return home from Delhi.
