Itinerary Details

Day 1 :Arrival at Mumbai

Upon your arrival at Mumbai International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Tusk Travel who will escort you to your hotel. After completing the check-in formalities, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

You can choose to explore the city's popular attractions, enjoy some fun activities on the beach, or savor the delicious street food. Alternatively, you can simply relax and unwind at the hotel. You will stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 :Mumbai to Chennai (By Flight)

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will begin your tour by visiting the iconic Gateway of India, a British-built arch that is one of Mumbai's most famous landmarks. Next, you will explore the Prince of Wales Museum and drive past the University of Bombay and the High Court of Bombay.

You will also have the opportunity to visit Crawford Market and take a stroll through the bustling streets of Colaba and Mangaldas Market. The tour will then take you to the Hanging Gardens, located atop Malabar Hill.

After that, you will visit the Gandhi Memorial Museum (Mani Bhawan) and Jain Temple before proceeding to the Siddhivinayak Temple (Ganesh Temple), where you can admire the temple from the outside.

Later in the day, you will have the chance to experience the Bandra Worli Sea Link before being dropped off at the Mumbai airport for your flight to Chennai. Upon arrival in Chennai, you will be transported to your hotel and spend the night there.

Day 3 :Chennai Sightseeing

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, you will begin your sightseeing tour of Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu located on the Coromandel Coast. You will have the opportunity to visit several stunning temples, including the Parthasarathy Temple, Adeeswar Temple, Kapaleeshwar Temple, and more.

Chennai is also famous for its beautiful beaches, so you will have the chance to unwind and relax on Marina Beach, which is considered one of the longest beaches in the world. After a fun-filled day of sightseeing and beach activities, you will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 :Chennai – Tirupati - Chennai

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a journey to the sacred Hindu pilgrimage site of Tirupati Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu's incarnation, Lord Sri Venkateswara, and is considered one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in India.

The temple is also known for receiving significant donations, making it the richest temple in the world. After having a blissful darshan at the temple, you will return to Chennai city for the remainder of the day.

Day 5 :Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

On the fifth day of your tour, you will explore two of the most popular architecture and heritage cities in Chennai: Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram.

In Kanchipuram, you will visit the Ekambareshwrar Temple, Varadharaja Perumal Temple, and Kamakshi Amman Temple. These historic and beautiful temples will offer you an unforgettable sightseeing experience. If time permits, you can also visit the silk weaving workshops of Kanchipuram and other UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the area.

After exploring Kanchipuram, you will head to Mahabalipuram, a coastal town famous for its ancient temples and monuments. Here, you can witness the intricate stone carvings at the Shore Temple, Five Rathas, and Arjuna's Penance.

After a fulfilling day of sightseeing, you will return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Chennai.

Day 6 :Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry

After enjoying a good breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and embark on a scenic drive to Pondicherry. This state is renowned for its rich culture and history, which you can explore through its various attractions.

Some of the noteworthy sights you will visit are Promenade Beach, Manakula Vinayagar Devasthanam Temple, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, French War Memorial, and Mahatma Gandhi Statue.

One of the best ways to spend your evening is by taking a leisurely stroll in the French Colony. After an eventful day, return to your hotel and spend a comfortable night in Pondicherry.

Day 7 :Pondicherry - Chidambaram - Tanjore

After breakfast, you will drive to Tanjore, a city famous for its exquisite Chola Temples.

On the way, you will visit Thillai Nataraja Temple in Chidambaram, a renowned temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

You will stay overnight at a hotel in Tanjore.

Day 8 :Tanjore - Trichy - Madurai

After a delicious breakfast, you will visit the ancient Brihadeeshwar Temple, a thousand-year-old Chola Temple known for its impressive architecture.

Next, you will leave for Madurai via Tiruchirappalli, where you will see the magnificent Sri Rangnathaswamy Temple, Rockfort Temple, and Jambukeswarar Temple.

After exploring these temples, you will check into a hotel in Madurai for an overnight stay.

Day 9 :Madurai Sightseeing

You will spend the day exploring Madurai, starting with a visit to the popular pilgrimage site, Meenakshi Amman Temple.

You can also visit the historical Tirumalai Nayak Palace. In the evening, you can attend the beautiful night ceremony at Meenakshi Temple.

Day 10 :Madurai – Rameshwaram

After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and head to Rameshwaram, an island known for the famous Ramnathaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Rama.

After taking darshan and attending the pooja ceremony, you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 11 :Rameshwaram - Kanyakumari

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and head towards Kanyakumari. During your journey to Kanyakumari, you'll make a stop at the renowned Thiruchendur Murugun temple.

Along the way, you'll also have the opportunity to witness the breathtaking sunset view over the Kanyakumari shore. You'll spend the night in Kanyakumari to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of this southernmost tip of India.

Day 12 :Kanyakumari - Trivandrum

After breakfast, proceed to sightsee the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Thiruvalluvar Statue, which are located on two different islands in the sea.

After that, you will visit the Kanyakumari temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Devi Kanya Kumari. The temple is situated on the seashore and offers a stunning view of the sunrise and sunset. You will also visit the Gandhi Memorial, which is a beautiful memorial built in honor of Mahatma Gandhi.

After the sightseeing, you will proceed towards Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. On arrival at Trivandrum, you will check in to the hotel and spend the night there.

Day 13 :Trivandrum - Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. You will visit the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, which is one of the 108 Divya Desams of Lord Vishnu and is known for its exquisite Dravidian architecture.

Next, you will visit the Napier Museum, an art, and natural history museum that has a collection of artifacts from ancient Kerala. You will also visit the Kuthira Malika Palace, which was built by the king of Travancore and has unique architecture. After the sightseeing, you will be transferred to the airport for connecting flights for your onward journey.

This will mark the end of your 13-day South India temple tour.
