1. Hundru Waterfall
This waterfall is very close to Ranchi. Ranchi was the summer capital before the partition of Bihar. Hundru Falls is a waterfall located at a 45 km distance from Ranchi, the most important city of Jharkhand. It is the largest and tallest waterfall in the area. The waterfall falls through a cliff and falls from a height of about98 meters size. It is busy during the monsoons. During the monsoons, we are amazed to see water falling from the top of the falls. The force of water falling is very strong.

2. Dassam Waterfall
It is the second most popular waterfall after Hundru Waterfall. It is located on the Kanchi River and has a height of 44 meters. It is situated at a distance of 10 km from the National Highway that connects the two major cities of Jharkhand, Ranchi, and Jamshedpur.
The forest is on the way to this waterfall. We’ll never forget the journey from the highway through the forest. It isn’t quite as high as Hundru. However, the waterfall is very strong. So it is not recommended to go there at all. It would help if you only walked around the waterfall on the safe path.

3. Hirni Waterfall
The third most famous waterfall in Jharkhand is the Hirni Falls. It is only 37 meters high, and unlike Hundru and Dassam, there are no stairs to climb. The fall is visible from the ground floor.
Hirni Falls is difficult to find because the entire area is surrounded by dense sapwood forest and is far from any major city. It is about 70 km from Ranchi. Tourists staying at Ranchi or Chaibasa can reach the spot the next morning.

4. Jonha Waterfall
It is a beautiful waterfall, despite being smaller than the three waterfalls mentioned above. It is 45 kilometers from Ranchi and 30 kilometers from Hundru Falls. It’s close to the Ranchi-Purulia Highway. This waterfall is also known as Gautam Dhara because Gautam Budha is said to have rested here for a while. You can drive here or take any Ranchi-Purulia bus.

5. Baghmunda Waterfall
Baghmunda Falls is also on the list of tourist destinations in Gumla. This waterfall is one of the most famous tourist spots here. Tourists love to spend time here. Locals, as well as visitors from far and wide, come to see this waterfall. The falls are also known for an old Jagannath temple located here. The temple is believed to be 400 years old. The temple is built in the ancient Kalinga style.

6. Sita Waterfall
40km away from Ranchi. It is a lesser-visited waterfall in Jharkhand. This waterfall is known as the name of goddess Sita .there is a talk that there are footprints near pitfalls. It has lesser visits because there is more difficult to reach here.
