Bihar Tourism is ready to host the First Museum Biennale of India. In India, for the very first time, Bihar Museum is going to do something unique. This all makes this event a point of attraction. It is organized by the Government of Bihar, Department of Arts and Culture and Youth Affairs on the occasion of Bihar Divas, and will be hosted from March 22, 2021, to March 28, 2021. This will be available digitally as well, and this will allow people to enjoy this event.
A large exhibition held every two years. Here is the list of participant’s museums are-

- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Mumbai,
- Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal,
- Piramal Museum, Mumbai, Museum of Art & Photography, Bengaluru,
- Museo Camera, Gurugram,
- City Palace Museum, Udaipur,
- National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi,
- Assam State Museum,
- Kanha Museum of Life and Art, Madhya Pradesh,
- Museum of Goa, Panaji,
- Virasat-e-Khalsa, Anandpur Sahib.
The keynote speaker at this event will be Neil MacGregor. Dr Souraya Noujaim, Scientific, Curatorial, and Collections Management Director at Louvre Abu Dhabi; Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Director-General of CSMVS; Hilary Knight, Director of Digital, Tate Galleries, UK; and Javier Baron, Museo del Prado are some of the eminent personalities, who will be present.
The visitors will have a chance to see two exhibitions; one will showcase the collection of local state museums of Bihar. In this list, 19 local state museums are included. And another will be ‘Making of the museum of Bihar’. This event will host some other activities by well known worldwide like masterclasses and lectures on art.
Over the last few years, the display has faced noteworthy change, earlier it was post-colonial, and nowadays, it is contemporary cultures of display. International Virtue Conference of 2 days will be held after the inauguration of the Bihar Museum Biennale. The aim of the conference is to show the museum as a site of creation, innovation and incubation.
