A rustic old four-story temple established in 1553, looks like a lodge in the woodlands. If you look closer, you can observe its exteriors decorated with sacrificial remains of animals. How to reach Solang Valley?

The nearest airport is about 63 km from the valley in Bhuntar town. You can get a cab to go to and fro Solang. It takes around two and a half hours to reach the valley.

Joginder Nagar Railway Station, which is at a distance of 175 km, is the closest to Solang Valley. Local taxis are available right outside the station that will take you to the valley.

Solang Valley connects to all the major cities via the road network. You can find state transport buses and private buses running back and forth from the valley, to Manali. If you are planning an overnight journey, you can also get semi-sleeper buses. Or you can take your car or hire a taxi and stop by various viewpoints during the road trip.

Best time to visit Solang Valley

Solang Valley looks beautiful and awe-inspiring in all the seasons, the best time to visit the valley to get the most out of your visit would be from April till late December. The temperature during these months is neither too high nor too low. It is just right to experience all the outdoor activities.

December and January is the best time to visit Solang if you want to experience the winter sports rush. If you wish to soak in the pleasant weather, it is best to go during June, when you can opt for parasailing and enjoy the magnificent views of the valley. It is advisable to avoid planning your trip during the monsoon seasons.
