Starting from February 14, 2024, people visiting Bali from other countries will have to pay a new fee. This fee is $10 or IDR 150,000. Bali is doing this to keep their island beautiful. They want to protect their culture, arts, and nature.
Visitors can pay this fee online before they come to Bali. They should use the Love Bali website or app. After paying, they will get a voucher in their email. They must show this voucher on their phones at Bali Airport and sea ports.
But, some people don’t have to pay this fee. These include people with certain types of visas like diplomatic, official, or student visas. People working on boats, those staying in Bali for a long time (KITAS/KITAP holders), and some others also don’t have to pay.
If someone thinks they should not pay, they need to ask for this one month before they go to Bali.

- Official Payment Channels: To avoid scams, tourists are advised to only use the official Love Bali website or app for payment. No other platforms are authorized for this fee collection.
- Customer Support: For any queries or issues related to the fee or exemptions, a dedicated customer support service is available on the Love Bali website.
- Use of Funds: The revenue from this tourism fee will be transparently used for environmental conservation projects and cultural preservation in Bali.
- Updates for Travel Agencies: Travel agencies are encouraged to update their customers about this new fee to ensure a smooth travel experience for tourists.
- Reminder for Regular Visitors: Regular visitors to Bali should note that this fee is applicable for each entry into Bali starting from February 14, 2024.
