Indonesia Launches 5-Year Visas for Tourists and Business

Indonesia 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visas

New Visa Policy from Indonesia’s Immigration Department

Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration (DGI) introduced a novel visa policy on December 20. The policy includes 5-year Multiple-Entry visas, known as D1 and D2 visas. This initiative aims to simplify travel for foreigners visiting for business or tourism.

About the 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visas

These visas offer 60-day stays per visit, ideal for both tourism and business purposes. Notably, the standard tourist visa in Indonesia allows a 30-day stay, extendable once.

Options: D1 and D2 Visas

Starting January 2024, two types of 5-year visas are available:

D1 Visa: For tourists, allowing 60-day visits for sightseeing, visiting relatives, or attending cultural events.

D2 Visa: For business visitors, permitting 60-day stays for meetings, conferences, or negotiations, but not for full-time employment.

Streamlined Application Process

The application for these visas is now online, eliminating the need for lengthy paperwork or embassy visits. Applicants can apply at evisa.imigrasi.go.id, uploading necessary documents and paying via credit card.

Required Documents

  • Valid passport (with at least 6 months remaining).
  • Bank statement with a minimum of USD 2,000 over the last 3 months.
  • Recent color photograph.

Benefits of This Policy
