Air India Launches New Air Route From Stansted To Amritsar

Air India New Air Route From Stansted To Amritsar

Long-haul booked flights will again start at the Stansted airport at the month-end. The Air India Boeing 787 will link Stansted with Amritsar from 31 October 2019.

About Amritsar

Golden Temple Amritsar

Amritsar is located in the northwest region of India adjacent to the Pakistan border and nearer to Islamabad. Its highly prominent tourist destination is the “Golden Temple” which is the most sacred area of devotion for the Sikh community.

About Stansted

Stansted Airport

Stansted is located in the northwest region of Essex, which lies next to the Hertfordshire border. It is nearer to Cambridge than London.

The new service offers an inexpensive link to the corner of India. This service is likely to interest the Sikh community living in London. Ken O’Toole, the major executive of the Essex airport told that Stansted is located to aid the Asian community in East and North London so we are pleased that Air India fulfills the customer request for Amritsar city.

The aim of this flight is to make productive use of the extra runway capacity to develop a long-haul route network and enhance the connectivity of London with the remaining of the world. This is especially critical when there is a short supply across south-east airports. The welcome onset of Air India is a constructive step towards accomplishing this aim.

David Rooke, the location services director at Invest Essex, told that the new Air India route facilitates prime business opportunities in both nations. It can strengthen investment building and business trade upon the extensive and increasing Indian preserved business base in Essex city.

The Indian airline now focuses its UK services purely on Heathrow. With slots available at demanding airports in Europe, Air India is now looking for new breaks. Stansted serves as the major base for Ryanair. It is also a demanding network of European flights on Jet2 and easy Jet.

It has had a stony association with long-haul booked flying. In the past few years, a number of intercontinental routes, majorly to the US have been unsuccessful. In 2000, Air Asia introduced an association from the Essex airdrome to Kuala Lumpur, but post a few years it got canceled.
