Itinerary Details

Day 1 :Cochin

After arriving at Cochin International airport, our tour agent will greet and shift you to Kochi Fort. Get into the 8th Bastion hotel. As the remaining day is free, walk around the Princess street, local avenues and the Colonial Fort Kochi. Watch out the popular Chinese Fishing Nets in Kochi. Explore the oldest European church known as St. Francis CSI Church erected in 1503 where Vasco de Gama was truly buried and the Santa Cruz Basilica is another major highlight. Watch out the unique dance programme known as Kathakali in Kerala. This dance is featured with exciting costumes, deformed gesticulations and a very substantial make-up. Later on, move to the hotel for night stay.

Day 2 :Cochin – Thekkady (200 km/5 hrs)

On reaching Cochin, have your breakfast at the hotel. After checking out, proceed to Thekkady via amazing landscape known as Periyar Wildlife Reserve covering tea, rubber and spice plantations. The National Park is an abode to wild boar, elephants, tiger, a wide range of birds and many more. Upon arrival, get into the Village of Spice. Remaining day is free for independent tasks. In the evening, do some yoga exercise. This Spice Village provides thatched-roof houses for one’s stay. The homely cottages contain veranda which covers herb beds and fruit trees. Take the Rejuvenating treatments from a talented Ayurvedic doctor. The restaurants here will serve you with Keralian spicy food. It is an acclamation to old paths of life.

Day 3 :Thekkady

After doing yoga practices and a delicious breakfast, attend the introduction session of Ayurveda by the resort doctor. Afterwards, stroll around in Kumili and have lunch at the hotel. Dine at 50-mile diet and overnight stay at the hotel. Enjoy a whole day through the high ranges. Then, visit the village of Kovimala where you can find Mannan Tribal Community having special rituals and culture. This community consists of an elected tribal ruler. Have lunch at the King’s home and then walking around the Spice gardens, enjoying the scenic beauty of the mountains are the other activities to relish on. Later on, you can enjoy the Tribal Dance called “Koothu” held at the King’s home by the community people.

Day 4 :Thekkady

In the morning, after a yoga practice, take your breakfast and move on for a Spice Plantation Trip. The Periyar region is the earliest spice growing spaces of the world. Spice gardens are the foundation of the financial status of the hills. Visit the Cardamom Hill reserve where you come up with all the spices. Have lunch at the restaurant. Later on, proceed for Jungle trekking. This community-based advantage provides second employment to the Mannan tribal inhabitants who were earlier bark collectors. Get the opportunity to observe a variety of birds, deer, elephants and gaur. Evening, the master chef shares some of the cooking skills at the culinary class. Then, dinner and night stay at the hotel.

Day 5 :Thekkady – Kumarakom (120 km/4 hrs)

Post yoga practice and a sumptuous breakfast, move out of the hotel and travel to Kumarakom. On the way, have your lunch at Rani’s Plantation Bungalow. Interact with the families by enjoying meals with them. Then, proceed to Coconut Lagoon hotel where you can stay for the upcoming four days. Kumarakom rests on the edges of Vembanad Lake covering beautiful canals, streams and interestingly lovely web. The bird sanctuary of this place is considered as an ornithologist’s kingdom of heaven and an exciting gound of migratory birds. The remaining day is free to acquaint with the resort and other activities. Dinner and night stay at the hotel comfortably.

Day 6 :Kumarakom

On this day morning, initially accompany a naturalist for having a bird watching walk. After that, the yoga session followed by a delicious breakfast at the hotel. The remaining day is free for enjoying the premise and other tasks of the hotel. In the evening, enjoy the sunset journey on a Kettuvallam boat amid the Lake Vembanad. Later on, have lunch and after dinner, spend the whole night at the hotel.

Day 7:Kumarakom

On the 7th day morning, come across a confirmation of Kalaripayattu which is a powerful Martial art of the state of Kerala. In the Kalari in- house point, you can get the training of this earliest martial art followed by the yoga exercise prior to breakfast. The rest of the spare time is kept for enjoying your own activities. You can get a chance to involve in a restoring Ayurvedic massage which is payable. Then, enjoy lunch at the restaurant in the hotel. Late afternoon, if you want to have a backwaters’Culinary experience, then learn some cooking tips from the in-house chef. Have dinner and make the overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8:Kumarakom

Early morning, firstly do your yoga session prior to breakfast. Enjoy the resort tasks like village walks, canoe rides or a reviving Ayurveda Massage in the free time. Have your lunch at the hotel restaurant. After dinner, accommodate the hotel for night stay. In the afternoon, visit the Aymanam village which houses Arundhati Roy’s novel named “The God of Small Things”. Then, enjoy the traditional canoe voyage down the narrow, twisting canals and come across the daily lifestyle of the surrounding houses. Stroll around in the famous Kuttanad village encircled by paddy fields and snake houses, sacred to local people. Later on, experience the famous dance form of Kathakali which includes old Sanskrit pattern with amazing human expressions.

Day 9 :Kumarakom – Marari (45 km/1 hr)

After doing yoga practice in the morning, take your breakfast and after checking out, move to Marari Beach held on the Arabian seashores. On reaching, get into the Marari Beach resort and enjoy your lunch here. Rest of the day is free to get some refreshment along the beach or pool or can enjoy the resort activities like Instrumental music sessions or exploring Farm Kitchen and harvesting.

Day 10 :Marari Beach

After the morning yoga exercise, enjoy the delicious breakfast at the hotel. The remaining day is free for independent tasks. Get some calmness across the Sanded Beach and watch out the fishing boats. Since earlier times, the fishermen used traditional vessels for fishing in the sea where no modern appliances were used. Each morning, post sunrise, many boats move towards the same area known as the fish landing. Do the retirement with Seafood Dinner. Get back to the hotel for night stay.

Day 11 :Marari Beach

Morning, after yoga session and breakfast, with the help of cycles, visit the local villages, churches and temples around. Remaining day is free to have some rest by the beachside or indulge in the in-house tasks like instrumental music sessions, butterfly garden exploration, kitchen garden visit with harvesting, dhoti and saree demo and finally lunch at the restaurant of the hotel. Evening, have your dinner at the Farm Kitchen. Make your full night stay comfortably at the hotel.

Day 12 :Marari Beach

On this day, enjoy breakfast after morning yoga practice. The remaining day is free to relax across the beach or pool or enjoy some hotel activities like kitchen garden visit, butterfly garden visit, instrumental music lessons and so on. Lunch at the hotel. If you want, you can drive to Alleppey and enjoy the ride of the private houseboats. These boats are the new version of kettuvallams of old times which used to carry tons of spices and rice. Enjoy the backwater journey through palm-fringed canals experiencing the rural lifestyle. Continue your tour along with the wonderful spots of lush green vegetation at the Kerala backwaters. Evening, enjoy party with the Seafood dinner. Make your overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13 :Marari Beach – Cochin (55 km/1.5 hrs)

After morning yoga session and breakfast, travel to Mattancherry held in Old Kochi. Explore the Jewish Synagogue at the centre, also called as Jew Town and lastly the Dutch Palace covering lovely mural paintings of the 17th century. Enjoy your spare time. Get the chance to connect with a Brahmin Family, the most top of the four Hindu castes. Check out the local streets of Mattancherry and visit the Fruit market where the local people get organic and fresh fruits at reasonable rates. Then, take a ride of Tuk Tuk across the localities Stop held at the Dhobi Khana. Reach the 8th Bastion hotel and check-in. Take some rest or do some shopping in Kochi Fort. Make overnight stay.

Day 14 :Departure Cochin

On this final day of the trip, proceed to the Cochin Airport in order to take a flight back home with refreshing memories.
