The appeal of this 10-day Golden Triangle with Kerala tour lies in its contrasts. Delhi, Jaipur and Agra reveal imperial architecture, busy bazaars, formidable forts and the Taj Mahal. Kerala then changes the rhythm completely, replacing crowded city streets with Kochi’s coastal heritage, the relaxed shoreline of Marari and the palm-lined waterways of Alleppey.
It is a useful itinerary for first-time visitors who want to experience both North and South India but cannot devote two separate holidays to them. Road travel connects the three Golden Triangle cities, while a domestic flight from Delhi to Kochi avoids several days of overland travel. The Kerala section is intentionally gentler, giving travellers time to slow down after the more intensive sightseeing in the north.
Ten days makes this a compact journey rather than a leisurely one. Expect early departures on some days, several hotel changes and two domestic flights. In return, the route offers a broad introduction to India’s history, food, landscapes and regional cultures within one carefully connected itinerary.

The first half is sightseeing-led, with road transfers between Delhi, Jaipur and Agra. The second half has fewer monuments and more time outdoors. Travellers who dislike frequent hotel changes may prefer to add one night in Jaipur or Kerala, but the standard schedule remains practical for those comfortable with an active private tour.

- Keep the Agra visit away from Friday because the Taj Mahal is closed to general visitors.

On arrival at Delhi Airport, our representative greets you and assists with your hotel transfer. After check-in, relax and recover from your flight. You may explore local markets nearby if time permits.

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur. Once you arrive, check in and relax. In the afternoon, visit the serene Birla Temple and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Explore Jaipur’s top landmarks including Amber Fort, where you can enjoy an optional elephant ride. Continue to Jal Mahal for photos, followed by City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the iconic Hawa Mahal. In the afternoon, spend time shopping for textiles, handicrafts, and gems.
Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Drive to Agra with a stop at Abhaneri to visit the ancient Harshat Mata Temple and the incredible Chand Baori stepwell. Continue to Agra, check in at your hotel, and relax for the evening.

Begin with a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, a breathtaking experience. Return for breakfast before visiting Agra Fort. Later, drive back to Delhi and check in at the hotel.

Fly to Kochi, where our representative greets you upon arrival. After check-in, enjoy sightseeing in Fort Kochi including Chinese fishing nets, Santa Cruz Basilica, and Mattancherry Palace.

Ten days is enough for a highlights-focused journey covering Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Kochi, Marari and Alleppey. It should not be considered a slow holiday, however. The Golden Triangle portion includes full sightseeing days and road transfers, while domestic flights connect Delhi and Kochi. If you have 12 or 13 days, adding one night in Jaipur and another in Kerala will create a more relaxed experience.
Delhi to Jaipur usually requires about five to six hours by road, while Jaipur to Agra commonly takes five to six hours when a sightseeing stop is included. Agra to Delhi generally takes three to four hours. Delhi and Kochi are connected by domestic flights, with a direct flight taking approximately three hours. Kerala’s coastal transfers are shorter, although traffic around Kochi can affect journey times.
Marari is a peaceful coastal area centred on Marari Beach and the fishing village of Mararikulam. It is best suited to beach walks, resort time and relaxation. Alleppey, officially called Alappuzha, is known for its canals, lagoons and houseboat cruises. Although the two places are close to each other, they provide different experiences: Marari is for the coast, while Alleppey is the gateway to Kerala’s backwaters.
An overnight houseboat should not be assumed from the destination list alone. Alleppey arrangements may include a short cruise, a daytime houseboat journey, an overnight cruise or accommodation at a backwater resort. Check the final itinerary for the boarding point, cruising duration, cabin category, air-conditioning schedule and included meals. Houseboats usually anchor for the night rather than cruising continuously after dark.
November to February is usually the most comfortable period for combining North India with Kerala. Delhi, Jaipur and Agra have cooler sightseeing weather, while Kerala remains warm and tropical. December and January can bring fog to North India, occasionally affecting flights and road journeys. March is warmer but still manageable. June to September brings monsoon rain to Kerala, creating lush scenery but less predictable beach and backwater conditions.
Pack breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection and modest outfits for religious places. From November to February, include a light jacket or warmer layer for Delhi, Jaipur and Agra, especially for early mornings and evenings. Kerala will normally be warmer and more humid, so quick-drying fabrics are useful. In the monsoon season, carry a compact umbrella, insect repellent and footwear suitable for wet conditions.

Popular changes include adding Ranthambore between Jaipur and Agra, extending Kerala to Munnar or Thekkady, replacing Marari with Kovalam, or adding an extra night in Alleppey. Families and senior travellers may benefit from reducing hotel changes or extending the itinerary to 12 days.
