Travel to India and Nepal where we can walk through the Taj Mahal, hallucinate on the banks of the Ganges, in one of the oldest and most sacred cities of the Varanasi world, get to know Jaipur, the jewel of the sands and end up in a relaxed way in the roof of the world, in Nepal, all this and much more is what you will find on this trip to India and Nepal.

Enjoy exploring the exceptional cultural heritage of northern India and the Kathmandu Valley on your trip, wandering among ancient cities, ancient temples and refined palaces. The kingdom of Nepal is a small country nestled in the foothills of the highest mountains in the world. Nepal is considered a multicultural, multilingual and secular state.

Much of the population is concentrated in the valley and the city of Kathmandu. The vertiginous altitude of the Himalayas and the spiritual recollection of its people have conditioned this country to be still unknown to many, although of great attraction for mountaineers and people from all over the world in search of peace.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 :Arrival at New Delhi

Departure in regular flight to Delhi, via intermediate connection points. Delhi is the third largest city in the country and the capital. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for accommodation.

Day 2 :Delhi Sightseeing

Breakfast. In the morning, visit of Old Delhi. The tour includes the visit of Jama Masjid , with its immense patio and marble domes. Tour around the area of Red Fort and Chandni Chowk , formed by a labyrinth of alleys. You will also visit the Raj Ghat (Symbolic tomb or Mahatma Gandhi Memorial).

In the afternoon, visit of the New Delhi , a modern part of the city built by the British in 1911 as the administrative headquarters of the British Raj.

The tour includes the Gateway of India; Qutub Minar, Rashtrapati Bhawan, former Residence of the Viceroy and today the Presidential Palace, Embassy area and its main streets and avenues, the visit will conclude with a visit to the Sikh Temple “Bangla Sahib” and Birla Temple.

Accommodation in Delhi

Day 3 :Delhi / Samode / Jaipur

Breakfast . In the morning we left by road to Jaipur . It is a journey of about 5 hours, so we will take lunch en route , in the Samode palace . Jaipur is known as the pink city because of the characteristic color of many of its buildings.

It is also the capital of the state of Rajasthan, founded in 1728 by Maharaja Saway Jai Singh. Upon arrival in Jaipur, we will enjoy an Aarti ceremony at the Birla Temple.

Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4 :Jaipur / Amber / Jaipur

Breakfast. Early we will go out to see Amber Fort . It is a classic Rajasthani palace, from the Kachwaha dynasty. They were the ones who governed in the area for 5 centuries, from VIII to XII. We will climb the fort on the back of an elephant (*).

After lunch we will visit the Majarahá Palace , mix Rajasthani and Mughal architectural elements, and make a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal , known as the Palace of the Winds.

From their lattices, women of royalty could attend celebrations without being seen. Finally, we will visit the Jantar Mantar , the astronomical observatory.

Dinner and accommodation.

Day 5 :Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra

Breakfast. We left for Agra , where we will arrive in the afternoon. Along the way, we will make several stops. The first will be in the small town of Abhaneri, where the Well of Chand Baori , about 20 meters deep and 13 levels.

The second stop will be in the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri, ordered to be built in red sandstone by Emperor Akbar.

Lunch en route. In the afternoon, arrival in Agra for dinner and accommodation.

Day 6 :Agra

Breakfast. In the morning, we will know the symbol of love par excellence, the Taj Mahal, a set of buildings built by the emperor Shah Jahan in the seventeenth century. The main building, the best known, is the mausoleum built for the rest of the emperor’s favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died during the delivery of his fourteenth son.

The whole set is characterized by its perfect symmetry, only broken by the position of the Emperor’s tomb, next to that of his wife.

Next, we will visit Agra Fort, from where, according to legend, the emperor spent the last years of his life observing the mausoleum from a distance. lunch in local restaurant.

Day 7 :Agra / Orchha / Khajuraho

After breakfast we depart by train to Jhansi. Upon arrival, we continue our route by road to Orchha, a former princely capital with palaces and temples built by the Bundela rajput family between the 16th and 18th centuries, including the Raj Mahal Palace and the Lakshminarayan Temple, both with paintings in good condition.

After lunch we will continue to Khajuraho , known for its temples of Hindu architecture and for the erotic details that decorate them.

Day 8 :Khajuraho / Varanasi

After breakfast , start the visit of this “cathedral city”, built between the s. X and XI, a set of Hindu temples in total harmony without comparison in the whole country. The Temples, declared a World Heritage Site in 1986, were built in the Nagara style of North India.

In spite of being famous for its well-taken care of erotic sculptures the set of temples does not have waste for its good state of conservation, the sculptural quality of each one of them and its idyllic location to walk.

Transfer to the airport to fly to Varanasi, one of the holy cities of Hinduism, consecrated to Shiva, and the most important pilgrimage center in the country. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a rickshaw ride and Aarti ceremony on the Ganges river ghats.

Dinner and accommodation.

Day 9 :Varanasi / Sarnath / Varanasi

We start very early, before the sun rises, going to the ghats to descend by the Ganges in a boat ride , from where we can witness purification rituals and, in addition, enjoy a splendid panoramic view of the temples that are together to the ghats.

After, we will return to the hotel for breakfast. After lunch we went to Sarnath, where Buddha gave his first sermon. We will visit the ruins and the local museum.

Return to the hotel for dinner and Accommodation.

Day 10 :Varanasi / Delhi / Kathmandu

Breakfast. Free time until the transfer time to fly back to Delhi, where we will connect with the flight to our next destination: Nepal, the country with the highest summits in the world. Arrival in Kathmandu, customs procedures, luggage collection and transfer to the Hotel. Accommodation.

Day 11 :Kathmandu / Swayambunath / Bhaktapur / Kathmandu

Breakfast . We will start our day visiting the Durbar Square : the residence of the Kumari , the living goddess (a girl chosen in a rigorous selection process who will stop being a goddess when she reaches puberty); the Kal Bhairav , one of the most ferocious representations of Shiva, the Temple of Taleju the great bell and drum that was played to announce the royal decree … endless monuments that will leave you overwhelmed.

Next, we will take a ride on ricshaw to the popular Tamil neighborhood , an authentic labyrinth of streets that cross the traditional markets of Indra chowk and Ason.

After the experience, we will ascend the hill of Swayambhunath to visit the Temple of the Monkeys or Stupa of Swayambunath , from where we will share with the eyes of Buddha an overview of the city.

After lunch we will visit Bhaktapur , known as “the city of culture”, a cultural gem of Nepal: the 55-window palace , the Great Bell , the Temple of Siddhi Laxmi and, in the Tamaudhi Square , the Temple Nyatapola , whose construction dates back to 1702 AD. Back to the hotel.

Dinner and accommodation.

Day 12 :Kathmandu / Patan / Bodnath / Kathmandu

After breakfast we will go to the city of Patán , famous as a center of fine arts and the superb work of its artisans, a Buddhist town founded in the s. III BC where we will visit a Tibetan refuge .

After lunch , we went to the Tibetan district of Kathmandu to see the stupa of Bodnath and the Buddhist temples, one of the largest in the world with the eyes of Buddha.

Dinner and accommodation.

Day 13 :Kathmandu

Breakfast. Free time until the time of transfer to the airport to leave in flight back to Your Country, via intermediate connection points. Night on board
