Embark on an 11-day spiritual and adventurous journey through the Panch Kedar trek, covering some of the most revered temples in the Himalayas. Starting from Haridwar, the trek takes you to Kedarnath, Madhyamaheshwar, Rudranath, and Kalpeshwar, each offering a unique blend of spiritual significance and natural beauty.
This itinerary is designed to provide a balanced mix of trekking adventure, spiritual exploration, and cultural immersion, making it a memorable journey through the sacred landscapes of Uttarakhand.
Tour Highlights:
After breakfast leave for Gaurikund. Upon arrival check into the hotel/ homestay. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After early breakfast get set ready for a trek of 19 Kms to Kedarnath. Upon arrival visit Kedarnath Temple - Set in a spectacular background of snow-clad peaks and forests, Kedarnath temple is situated in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand and occupies a prominent position among the Panch Kedar temples.
The temple houses a conical shaped Shiva lingam which is considered to be the hump of Shiva. It is located at a height of 3,584 m. The trek till Kedarnath temple begins from Gaurikund and is an around 19-km uphill trek. It trek can be finished in 7-8 hours. Overnight stay at the guest House.
After breakfast trek donw to Gaurikund and drive towards Jakhdhar.
From Ukhimath you will have a moderate trek to Gaundhar village.
Stay at the home stay here.
After breakfast drive towards Ukhimath. From here you will have moderate trek to Gaundhar village.
Overnight stay at Gaundhar.
After breakfast have a trek up to Madhymaheshwar Temple-Situated at the height of about 3,289 m, it is said that in Madhmaheshwar or Madhyamaheswar the middle or navel part of Shiva emerged. Lying in a beautiful green valley in the Mansoona village of Garhwal Himalayas, the temple is encircled by spectacular snow-covered peaks of Kedarnath,
Chaukhamba and Neelkantha. The trek till Madhyamaheswar begins from Uniana, about 18 km away from Ukhimath. There is provision for accommodation after trekking for 3 km at Ransi village, and at Gaundhar village after another 6 km. It is a total of a 19-km long trek.
After visiting Madhya Maheshwar Temple trek down to Gaundhar Village. Overnight stay at Home stay.
After early breakfast drive towards Chopta. Upon arrival check into the hotel. Later start a day trek towards Tungnath Temple - Tungnath is another beautiful destination lying close to the mesmerizing hill station of Chopta. Situated at a height of 3680 meters above sea level, Tungnath is the highest temple in the world dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The unprecedented Himalayan view from the meadows at Tungnath temple is leave anyone is awe. The natural beauty comes to its full glory at Tungnath temple, which is also one of the famous five Panch Kedar shrines of Uttarakhand.
Trek down to Chopta. Overnight stay at the home stay.
Rest of the day free Sagar Village. Upon arrival check into the guest house/Home stay. Rest of the day free at your relax. Overnight stay at Home stay/ Guest House.
After breakfast drive towards Sagar Village. Upon arrival check into the guest house/Home stay.
Rest of the day free at your relax. Overnight stay at Home stay/ Guest House.
After breakfast commence the uphill trek to Panar Bugyal which passes through Pung Bugyal, Mauli Karak, Luiti Bugyal.
Rest of the day free in the Bugyal. Night stay at Panar.
After breakfast commence the next uphill trek to Rudrantah Temple- A natural rock temple, situated at 2,286 m amid alpine meadows and thick forests of rhododendrons, here Lord Shiva is worshipped as 'Neelkanth Mahadev'.
It is believed that here his face came up the ground. Sacred kunds (pools) such as Surya Kund, Chandra Kund, Tara Kund and Mana Kund exist around the temple.
Trek down to Pana Bugyal. Overnight stay at tent.
After breakfast trek down to Sagar Village. Drive towards Devgram village via Gopeshwar - Helang.
Helang is last town on the highway from where you will take a country side road to Devgram.
Stay at Devgram village at the home saty. Overnight stay at the home stay.
Morning have a small and easy trek to Kalpeshwar Mahadev temple- The last and fifth temple in the list of Panch Kedar pilgrimage circuit, Kalpeshwar is the only temple among the sacred Panch Kedar temples that remains open throughout the year. The matted hairs of Lord Shiva are worshipped inside this temple. The Panch Kedar trail ends at Kalpeshwar (Kalpnath).
Later drive towards Haridwar Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast you will be transferred either at railway station or Dehradun airport for onward journey.
