Thailand Pass: Test-free entry applications open on April 29

Phuket-thailand

As per the latest updates, Thailand has removed its skip of the RT-PCR Test & Go program and has relaxed travel regulations for those who are vaccinated starting May. According to the new rules travelers who have been fully vaccinated are not required to undergo an RT-PCR test on their arrival in Thailand or are legally required to stay a minimum single-night hotel reservation.

But, it’s essential for those who have been vaccinated to confirm that they are vaccinated and have insurance by signing up through Thailand Pass mobile app or on the website.

New Registration On Thailand Pass

When the news rules comes several travelers attempted to sign up for the Thailand Pass for Entry-test-free program under the new program however they were not able to complete the process as the “Date of Arrival” field is not able to permit entry of dates that are that is later than April.

We’ve received a lot of emails from travelers asking why they aren’t able to register for the ‘Thailand Pass.’

The reason is that Thailand hasn’t yet started the registration process under the ‘Test-Free entry program, and the registration will open on the 29th of April.

A report on the Thailand Pass official website https://tp.consular.go.th/home announced that those who want to enter the country with the simplified rules from 1 May 2022 can request the Thailand Pass starting April 29, 2022.

Registration for Thailand Pass for travelers entering Thailand beginning 1 May 2022 in accordance with the new entry rules will open starting on April 29th, 2022 (00.01 hour Thailand hour).

Another benefit is that the long Thailand Pass form, which is currently requiring specific information about the person, vaccination doses and hotel reservations testing, hotel booking, and assurance, is streamlined to allow travelers to enter the country after May 1st in 2022.

The new ‘Thailand Pass’ only requires information about:

  • Passport
  • Certificate of Vaccination
  • Insurance proof (now less than US$10,000 required for non-Thai travelers only)
