  • Shri Vaishno Devi Bhawan is approximately 2.5 km from the Helipad at Sanjhichhat and it takes about 08 minutes to cover the one-way distance.
  • To and fro helicopter services to reach Shri Vaishno Devi Shrine from Katra can be booked online 60 days in advance of your tour.
  • The price of the helicopter ride for one way from Katra to Sanjichhat orSanjhichhat to Katra is INR 1830 per person which makes it INR 3660 per passenger for a to and fro trip.
  • Helicopter tickets can be booked online in advance from the Shrine Board’s official website.
  • Children below two years of age will be carried free of cost in the lap of the accompanying adult.
  • A single flight typically accommodates around 5 to 6 passengers.

Rules for Online Booking and Cancellation of Helicopter Tickets

  • Helicopter tickets can either be booked online from the Shrine Board’s Official website or at the spot through the ‘Current Heli-Ticket Counter’.
  • For booking the helicopter tickets you need to have the Yatra Registration Slip and the ID Proof of all the pilgrims who wish to travel by air.
  • To avail of the online booking facility, simply register on the website of the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and login with the username. Click on the helicopter service, fill in the travel dates, number of passengers, travel route, travel time, etc.
  • Payment of helicopter ticket fees can be done through a Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
  • Once the booking is done prepone or postpone of the booking is not allowed.
  • Tickets can be cancelled only through the ONLINE mode.
  • Cancellation of the tickets can be made up to 40 days before the travel date and only 70% of the fare amount is refunded.
  • The refund is initiated by the Shrine Board within 15 days of the cancellation.
  • The refund is reimbursed to the same Credit card, Debit Card, or UPI account through which the payment was received at the time of booking.
  • If a transaction fails on the Shrine Board’s website, the Board ensures a complete refund.
