In an exciting development for both business and leisure travelers, IndiGo has announced the introduction of direct flights between Dubai and Surat. Starting from February 23, 2024, these flights will operate three times a week, marking a significant expansion in IndiGo’s international flight offerings.
Surat, known for its dynamic textile and diamond industries, now become the second city in Gujarat to enjoy direct flight services to Dubai on the IndiGo network. This move is seen as a strategic step in bolstering economic ties and tourism between India and the United Arab Emirates.

Vinay Malhotra, the Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed his enthusiasm for the new route. “The direct connectivity between Dubai and Surat – two key commercial hubs in the Middle East and India – is a milestone for us at IndiGo,” he said. He highlighted that with these additional flights, IndiGo will now operate 108 direct flights per week to Dubai from 13 Indian cities.
“The new route is not just a convenience for travellers but a golden opportunity for business growth and economic development in both regions,” Malhotra added. He emphasized IndiGo’s commitment to providing affordable, punctual, and hassle-free travel experiences across its extensive network.
Flight Schedule and Details
To accommodate the needs of travellers, IndiGo has carefully crafted the flight schedule:
- Flight 6E 1992 from Dubai to Surat will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, beginning February 23, 2024, departing at 17:15 and arriving at 21:30.
- Return flights from Surat to Dubai (Flight 6E 1991) will be available on Saturdays, Mondays, and Thursdays starting from February 24, 2024, with varying departure and arrival times.
