From June 15 and July 1, Indigo, a low-cost airline based in India, will begin new international flights here to Abu Dhabi in the UAE and Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
Beginning on June 15, and Indigo flight will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 9.30 PM and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 12.10 AM. According to the release, the return flight will take off from Abu Dhabi at 1.30 AM and arrive in Thiruvananthapuram at 7.15 AM. There will be three such flights in a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On July 1, a daily flight to Dammam will begin.
An Indigo flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Dammam will leave at 7.55 am and arrive at 10.10 am. The return flight, from Dammam, will depart at 11.35 am and arrive at Thiruvananthapuram at 7.10 pm, according to the release.
Both services are now available for booking, it noted.
The airport announced on Tuesday that it has launched the new services in response to the long-standing demand of travelers to offer flight services to Gulf countries.
