The 2nd engineless Vande Bharat Express comprises sixteen coaches with a seating capacity of 1,128 seat passengers. Out of sixteen coaches, fourteen coaches have a normal chair seating arrangement with 936 seats and the remaining two coaches have executive chair seating arrangements with 104 seats.
The exact launch date of Vande Bharat Express 2 is yet to be decided. It is estimated to be announced once the condition in J&K normalizes. The inauguration of this train brings good news for Mata Vaishno Devi devotees as this new express train is projected to connect Delhi and Katra. This will make it a lot more convenient for them to visit sacred temples.
This ‘Make in India’ train has got sanctioned by the “Commissioner of Railway Safety”. Presently, only one Vande Bharat Express was running between Delhi and Varanasi. The new Vande Bharat Express2 will be the second semi-to high-speed engineless train that will offer world-class comfort level to its passengers.
Fare Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express:
As per the report, the planned fare for the normal chair car running between New Delhi and Katra will be approximate. Rs 1,600, whereas the planned fare for an executive chair car will be approximate. Rs 3,000.

Travel Time Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express:
The Vande Bharat Express 2 is estimated to lower the total travel time by four hours. Now passengers will reach Delhi to Katra in just eight hours, as opposed to the 12 hours taken by Vande Bharat Express.

This new Vande Bharat Express is manufactured under the ‘Make in India’ campaign of the Modi government. This train takes pride to offer several passenger-friendly facilities and amenities such as LED lighting, automatic doors, onboard Wi-Fi hotspot for entertainment, comfortable seating, bio-vacuum kind toilets, GPS-based AV passenger information system, and many more.
