The forests that are Jhalana are spread across 1978 hectares. This is not enough space for leopards, therefore sub-adult leopards seeking the habitat have begun to move to Amagarh and Lalberi forests.
This way the leopard population will grow according to officials from the department. The officials have confirmed that safaris in this region will be scheduled in two shifts: morning and evening. To reduce the risk of overcrowding, and to control the tourism industry, only a certain amount of vehicles are allowed during each shift.
The tickets for Safari will become sold on the internet for the convenience of visitors and bookings are available on the website. “Apart from enjoying the drive through the enchanting forest and clicking pictures of leopard, hyena, desert fox, and other birds and animals during the drive, tourists can also enjoy some scenic views around the area. There are several forts and temples inside the area like Galta temple, Amagarh fort, Raghunath fort, and Amabamata temple,” the officials said.
