This 10 Days India & Bhutan Cultural Tour is designed for travellers who want to combine India’s classic Golden Triangle with the peaceful Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan. The journey begins in Delhi, where Mughal monuments, colonial avenues, colourful markets and old city lanes introduce guests to India’s layered history and daily life.

From Delhi, travel to Agra to see the world-famous Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The route then continues to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s Pink City, known for Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, craft bazaars and royal architecture.

After completing the India section, the journey continues by flight to Bhutan, one of the most culturally preserved destinations in the Himalayas. The Bhutan section begins in Paro and continues to Thimphu and Punakha, offering a rich experience of monasteries, dzongs, prayer flags, mountain valleys and traditional Bhutanese life.

In Thimphu, travellers explore Bhutan’s capital through landmarks such as Buddha Dordenma, Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong and local craft centres. The journey then moves to Punakha, famous for Punakha Dzong, river valleys, suspension bridge and scenic countryside.

The tour ends in Paro with the option to hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, one of Bhutan’s most memorable spiritual and cultural landmarks. This India and Bhutan itinerary is ideal for international travellers who want a mix of monuments, royal heritage, Himalayan landscapes and Buddhist culture in one compact journey.

Detailed Itinerary

Arrive at Delhi International Airport, where our representative will meet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is kept relaxed so you can recover from your international flight.

Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short orientation walk near your hotel or enjoy the evening at leisure.

Arrive in Delhi

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing with Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, enjoy the lively lanes of Chandni Chowk, and pass by the Red Fort.

Later, explore New Delhi with visits to India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax.

In the afternoon, visit Agra Fort, a grand Mughal fortress built with red sandstone. Later, enjoy a sunset view of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh, located across the Yamuna River.

Delhi to Agra

Early morning, visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise, one of the most beautiful experiences of the tour. Return to the hotel for breakfast before driving towards Jaipur.

En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the former Mughal capital. Continue to Jaipur and check in at your hotel on arrival.

Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri

After breakfast, visit Amber Fort, one of Rajasthan’s finest hilltop forts. Later, explore City Palace, Jantar Mantar and the famous Hawa Mahal for a photo stop.

In the evening, enjoy Jaipur’s colourful bazaars known for textiles, jewellery, blue pottery and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Jaipur Sightseeing

Early morning, travel from Jaipur to Delhi Airport for your flight to Paro, Bhutan. The flight to Paro offers beautiful Himalayan views on clear days.

On arrival at Paro Airport, complete immigration formalities and meet your Bhutanese guide. Drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. After check-in, enjoy a relaxed evening exploring the town or local market area.

Flight operation and timing for Delhi to Paro may vary by season, so this day can be adjusted according to the confirmed flight schedule.

Jaipur to Paro and Thimphu

After breakfast, explore Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city. Visit Buddha Dordenma, a large hilltop Buddha statue offering panoramic views of the valley.

Continue to Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, the Folk Heritage Museum and local craft centres where you can see Bhutanese weaving, painting and traditional arts. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass. On clear days, the pass offers beautiful views of the Himalayan peaks and is known for its 108 memorial chortens.

Continue to Punakha and visit Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress monasteries, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. You may also visit the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in Bhutan.

Thimphu to Punakha

After breakfast, drive back to Paro, passing through scenic valleys, traditional villages and mountain roads.

On arrival, visit Paro Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum, depending on time. The evening is free to explore Paro town, shop for local handicrafts or relax before the final day of the tour.

Punakha to Paro

Early morning, begin the optional hike to Taktsang Monastery, popularly known as the Tiger’s Nest. This cliffside monastery is one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks and a major highlight of the journey.

After the hike, transfer to Paro Airport for your onward flight, depending on flight timing. If the departure flight is early, the Tiger’s Nest hike can be arranged on the previous day or replaced with a shorter Paro sightseeing program.
