Kannur is internationally known for Theyyam, a ritual tradition associated with specific shrines, communities and seasonal calendars. If an authentic performance is taking place during your dates, the itinerary can be adjusted to attend it respectfully.

Theyyam should never be guaranteed on an arbitrary date or replaced with a staged performance simply to satisfy an itinerary promise. The actual event, timing and location must be checked locally in advance.

If no Theyyam event is available, use the day for deeper heritage, craft, food or coastal experiences in and around Kannur.

After breakfast, check out from your Kannur hotel and begin the drive south to Kozhikode.

Your departure timing will be planned around your onward flight or train. Allow sufficient buffer for coastal traffic and airport or railway formalities.
