Uttarkashi. Located on the banks of the
river Bhagirathi, Uttarkashi is a pleasant
destination.
The town is well-known for its historical
monuments. After visiting the historical
attractions of Uttarkashi, return to the hotel for
dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up early, complete your breakfast at the hotel and
start your drive to Gangotri. Situated amid the
Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3048 mts,

Temple and seek blessings of Goddess
Ganga.
Later, start your journey back to Uttarkashi.

The ideal Gangotri Yatra from Delhi takes 5 days / 4 nights,
covering Haridwar, Uttarkashi, and Gangotri.
The best time to visit Gangotri is from May to June and
September to October, when the weather is pleasant and the
temple remains open.
The journey is mostly by road and considered easy to moderate.
Senior citizens can also complete the yatra comfortably with proper rest.
Gangotri Temple opens on Akshaya Tritiya (April/May) and closes
