Dzukou Valley is the
northeastern valley of flowers. An exciting sight to see is its heap of hills and lots of
flowers with two rivers that intertwine. Greenfields cover Dzukou, the valley between Nagaland and Manipur while rolling grey
clouds bring rain.
Through Viswema village and the dense Japfu forest, we will take you through the dense forest
on our short 4N/5D trekking tour to Dzukou Valley.
Set out on a 5-day exploration starting from the bustling city of Delhi, moving to the
tranquil hills of Mussoorie, and concluding in the spiritual town of Rishikesh. This journey
promises a mix of relaxation, sightseeing, and adventure, ensuring a memorable experience
for all travelers.
Tour Highlights:
In Nagaland, go on a trek to a lesser-known region.
We meet our executive at the Dimapur
Airport in Nagaland upon arrival. We drive to Kohima,
which takes two hours. After arriving at the hotel, we check-in.
After freshening up, we wander around the bazaar. You will be
introduced to the local Naga cuisine, which consists of
vegetables, fish, and insects.
You will stay at a hotel in Kohima for dinner and overnight.

In the morning, you will be taken to Viswema village, where then
you will trek
to the Dzukou Valley. Pack a lunch for the midway.
Afterward, you can continue your hike. The trekker's hut/campsite
will be your home for the night when you arrive.
Enjoy the beauty of the area, followed by dinner and the night's
stay in the camp/hut.

Visit its enchanting valley; see its caves, varieties of flowers,
and cold rivers that cross one another. Next, find a cave or a
great spot and spend the night in the valley.
Stay overnight at a trekker’s hut/campsite and eat dinner there.

Early in the morning, watch the sunrise and start your trek
downhill to Jakhama via Jakhama after breakfast.
When you reach Viswema village, you will be driven to Kohima. You
will spend dinner at the hotel.

Following breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to
Dimapur Airport/Station to connect with your onward journey.

The ideal Dzukou Valley trekking tour takes 5 days / 4 nights,
including
travel from Kohima, trekking through Viswema or Jakhama, and exploring the
valley.
The best time is June to September for the beautiful Dzukou
lilies and
lush greenery. Winter months (November–February) offer clearer skies but colder
temperatures.
The trek is considered easy to moderate. The initial climb from
Viswema
or Jakhama is steep, but the trail becomes gentler once you reach the valley
ridge.
The Viswema route is easier and more scenic, while the
Jakhama route is shorter but steeper. Most trekkers prefer
Viswema for a
smoother climb.
Trekkers usually stay at the Dzukou Valley Rest House or in
designated
camping areas. Basic bedding is available, and you can carry your own sleeping
