After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to Shankaracharya Temple, located on a hilltop with sweeping views of Srinagar city and Dal Lake. Later, drive to Gulmarg, one of Kashmir’s most loved hill destinations.
Gulmarg is famous for its wide green meadows, pine forests, and snow-clad mountain views. You may enjoy a Gondola ride, pony ride, or a short walk through the meadows at your own pace. After sightseeing, return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, proceed for a scenic excursion to Pahalgam, a peaceful valley surrounded by pine forests, mountain slopes, and the flowing Lidder River. The drive itself is beautiful, with countryside views, saffron fields, and traditional Kashmiri villages along the way.
En route, visit the historic Avantipura ruins and continue towards Anantnag before reaching Pahalgam. Spend time near the Lidder River or explore the local valley area. Later, drive back to Srinagar for overnight stay.
After breakfast, leave Srinagar and drive towards Kargil via the breathtaking valley of Sonmarg. The route passes through dramatic mountain scenery, river valleys, and alpine landscapes that make this journey one of the most memorable parts of the Kashmir and Ladakh route.
Continue towards Baltal, the starting point for the Amarnath Yatra route, and then cross the high-altitude Zojila Pass. Later, drive through Drass, often known for its extremely cold winters, before reaching Kargil. Check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Kargil.
After breakfast, begin your drive from Kargil to Leh. This route offers a striking change in landscape, from rugged valleys to the moon-like terrain of Ladakh. Stop at the ancient Lamayuru Monastery, one of the most atmospheric monasteries in the region.
Continue the journey with visits to Sangam, where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet, Magnetic Hill, and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. On arrival in Leh, check in to your hotel. The evening is free to rest or take a short walk around the local market. Overnight stay in Leh.
Today is planned at a comfortable pace so you can explore Leh and adjust better to the altitude. Visit the peaceful Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist monument offering excellent views of Leh town and the surrounding mountains.
Continue to Sankar Gompa and Leh Palace, a former royal residence that reflects Ladakh’s old architectural style. The evening is free for leisure, shopping, or exploring Leh market. Overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, drive towards Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, one of the most famous high-altitude motorable passes in Ladakh. The route offers wide views of snow peaks, barren mountains, and winding Himalayan roads.
On arrival in Nubra Valley, visit Diskit and Hundar. Enjoy the unique cold desert landscape and, if interested, take an optional Bactrian camel ride on the sand dunes. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Begin the day with a visit to Diskit Monastery, known for its large Buddha statue and panoramic views of Nubra Valley. After the visit, continue your drive towards Pangong Tso through the scenic Shyok route.
Arrive at Pangong Lake, one of Ladakh’s most iconic natural wonders. The changing shades of blue, the open sky, and the surrounding mountains create a memorable high-altitude experience. Check in to your camp or cottage near the lake. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise view over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Changla Pass, another beautiful high-altitude route surrounded by stark Ladakhi landscapes.
On the way, visit Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace, and Sindhu Ghat if time permits. Arrive in Leh by evening and check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure or last-minute shopping in Leh market. Overnight stay in Leh.
