The Sree Krishna Swamy Temple, Ambalapuzha is one of the most famous Shree Krishna temples among Vaishnavas in south India's Kerala district; it is built in Kerala. Architectural style and is also popularly known as the "Dwarka of the south.” The deity present in the temple is that of Parthasarathy, the charioteer of Arjuna. The idol contains a whip in its right hand and a Sankha in its left hand. In 1789, the Krishna idol was brought from guruvayoor temple to the ambalappuzha temple due to the king Tipu Sultan’s raids.

The temple is famous all over India due to the pal payasam, a sweet pudding made of rice and milk offered to the Lord daily. It is popularly known as Ambalappuzha Palpayasam. There is also a mythological story behind the payasam served in this temple.
