India Offers Free 30-Day Visas for Kazakhstan Citizens

If you’re a Kazakhstan passport holder planning India in 2026, travel just got easier. India has announced a gratis (free) visa facility for stays of up to 30 days, aimed at boosting tourism and stronger people-to-people ties. The update was shared by India’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Y. K. Sailas Thangal, during a reception in Astana marking India’s 77th Republic Day.

What this new visa facilitation covers

  • Validity: Up to 30 days
  • Purpose: Tourism, medical treatment, and accompanying persons
  • How to apply: Online application or in-person submission at the Embassy of India

This comes at a time when India–Kazakhstan travel is already rising, with Indian estimates suggesting around 250,000 Indian travellers visited Kazakhstan in 2025.
