From the cultural streets of Kathmandu to the tranquil lakes of Pokhara and the iconic sunrise at Poon Hill (3,210 meters), this trek delivers a perfect blend of adventure, nature and local culture. You will experience traditional Gurung hospitality in villages like Ghandruk while enjoying panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machapuchare peaks.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where our representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, meet your trekking guide for a detailed briefing about the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, including route, safety guidelines and essential preparations.
In the evening, explore the lively streets of Thamel, known for its cafes, trekking shops and local culture.
Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Pokhara through winding mountain roads, rivers and terraced farmlands. The journey offers beautiful views of rural Nepal and the Trishuli River.
Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, take a walk along Lakeside and enjoy views of Phewa Lake with reflections of the Annapurna range.
Overnight stay in Pokhara.
After breakfast, drive to Nayapul (approx. 1.5 hours), the starting point of your trek. Begin walking along the Bhurungdi Khola river, passing through villages like Birethanti where permits are checked.
The trail gradually ascends through terraced fields and forests before reaching the famous stone steps leading to Ulleri village. This section is physically demanding but rewarding.
Overnight stay in a tea house in Ulleri.
Today’s trek takes you through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests. During spring, the trail is filled with blooming flowers, creating a colorful landscape.
As you ascend gradually, enjoy spectacular views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain). Reach Ghorepani, a charming village surrounded by Himalayan peaks.

Wake up early for a pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill, the highlight of the trek. Witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, with panoramic 360-degree mountain views.
After returning to Ghorepani for breakfast, continue trekking through dense forests and ridgelines to reach Tadapani, enjoying peaceful nature trails along the way.

Descend through forest trails towards Ghandruk, one of the most beautiful Gurung villages in the Annapurna region. Along the way, enjoy views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare.
Explore the village, visit the local museum and experience traditional Gurung culture, architecture and hospitality.

After breakfast, descend gradually through scenic trails to Nayapul. The route passes through villages, suspension bridges and lush landscapes.
Upon reaching Nayapul, drive back to Pokhara. Spend the evening relaxing by Phewa Lake or enjoying cafes and restaurants at Lakeside.
Overnight stay in Pokhara.
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. Alternatively, you can opt for a short domestic flight (optional).
Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy your final evening in Nepal with shopping or relaxing.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Depart with unforgettable memories of your Himalayan trekking adventure.
