8 Days Kedarnath and Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga Yatra

7 Nights / 8 Days Delhi – Haridwar – Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Rishikesh / Delhi – Varanasi

Tour Overview

This 8-day Kedarnath and Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga Yatra combines two of India’s most revered Shiva temples in one meaningful spiritual journey. Starting from Delhi, the tour covers Haridwar, Guptkashi, Kedarnath Temple, Rishikesh and Varanasi, with darshan at Kedarnath Jyotirlinga and Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga.

The first part of the tour takes pilgrims into the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. The route passes through Haridwar, the holy Ganga river valley and Guptkashi before continuing to Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and an important temple of the Char Dham Yatra circuit.

Kedarnath Temple is located in a dramatic Himalayan setting near the Mandakini River. Pilgrims can travel to Kedarnath by trekking from Gaurikund or choose helicopter services where available. The final travel arrangement depends on weather conditions, aviation operations, temple access and local authority regulations.

After returning to Delhi, the journey continues by flight to Varanasi, one of the world’s oldest living cities and one of Hinduism’s most sacred destinations. Here, travellers can attend the evening Ganga Aarti, explore the spiritual ghats and seek blessings at Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

This itinerary is ideal for premium spiritual travellers, families and pilgrimage groups who want a professionally paced Kedarnath and Kashi Vishwanath Yatra from Delhi. Detailed Itinerary

Arrive at Delhi International Airport, where our representative will meet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, take time to relax after your flight and prepare for the upcoming Himalayan pilgrimage.

Depending on your arrival schedule, you may enjoy a short orientation drive through New Delhi or visit a nearby market. The day is intentionally kept relaxed, allowing pilgrims to recover from travel before the road journey towards Haridwar begins.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

Arrival in Delhi for Kedarnath and Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga Yatra

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Haridwar, one of the holiest cities in India and an important gateway to the Char Dham pilgrimage route. The drive from Delhi to Haridwar generally takes around 5 to 6 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

On arrival, check in at the hotel and take some time to rest. Later, proceed to Har Ki Pauri, the most famous ghat in Haridwar. Pilgrims visit this sacred riverside location to offer prayers, take part in rituals and experience the spiritual energy of the Ganga.

In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. The ceremony of lamps, chanting, bells and devotional songs is one of the most memorable spiritual experiences in Uttarakhand. Return to the hotel after the ceremony.

Overnight stay in Haridwar.

After an early breakfast, begin the scenic drive from Haridwar to Guptkashi. The journey enters the Garhwal Himalayas and follows the river valleys of the Ganga, Alaknanda and Mandakini.

En route, stop at Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to form the River Ganga. Continue through Srinagar and Rudraprayag, the sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.

Later, continue towards Guptkashi, an important base town for Kedarnath Yatra pilgrims. The town is known for its temples, mountain surroundings and views of the Himalayan region. On arrival, check in at the hotel and rest.

The evening is free for acclimatization and preparation for the Kedarnath journey. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Haridwar to Guptkashi drive via Devprayag and Rudraprayag

Early in the morning, begin the journey towards Kedarnath Temple. The route may be planned by helicopter, trek-assisted service or the traditional road-and-trek route via Sonprayag and Gaurikund, depending on the selected package, weather conditions and local operations.

For pilgrims travelling by helicopter, transfer to the designated helipad as per the reporting time. Helicopter services are subject to aviation schedules, weather clearance, passenger weight rules and operational approvals. On reaching Kedarnath, proceed for darshan at Kedarnath Temple.

For pilgrims travelling by road and trek, drive to Sonprayag and Gaurikund before beginning the uphill trek towards Kedarnath. Pony, palki and porter services may be available locally, subject to availability, weather and medical suitability.

Seek blessings at Kedarnath Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The temple stands in a spectacular Himalayan setting beside the Mandakini River and is surrounded by snow-covered peaks. After darshan, settle into the designated accommodation in Kedarnath or return according to the final helicopter and travel schedule.

Overnight stay in Kedarnath or as per the confirmed helicopter operations plan.

Kedarnath Jyotirlinga darshan by helicopter or trek-assisted yatra

Wake up early for a peaceful morning at Kedarnath. Subject to temple timings and local access, pilgrims may visit Kedarnath Temple again for morning darshan before beginning the return journey.

Return to Guptkashi by helicopter or via the trek route to Gaurikund and Sonprayag. The final return plan depends on the travel option selected for the Yatra. Helicopter transfers can be affected by weather, so travellers should keep flexibility in their schedule.

On reaching Guptkashi, transfer to the hotel and rest after the high-altitude pilgrimage experience. The evening is free for relaxation, local temple visits or quiet reflection.
