In the morning you to pick you up at your hotel we will go to the Gateway of India, where we will take a catamaran to the famous Elephanta Caves , considered a World Heritage Site for being one of the most impressive temples in Mumbai.
After a boat trip lasting just over an hour, we will arrive at Elephanta Island, where the caves are located. Formed by seven temples, we cover the most important points dedicated to the Sun God: Shiva .
The large relief murals that decorate the temple walls represent the episodes of Shiva’s life. The main attraction is the central sculpture , which represents the three main facets of Shiva : that of creator, conservator and destroyer.
At the end of the walk through the caves and after admiring the shrines , courtyards and corridors with embossed designs , we will take the boat back to Mumbai as we watch the sunset. Can you imagine a better ride than this one?
