This 3-day Aurangabad itinerary takes you through the region’s most celebrated heritage sites, including the Ajanta and Ellora Caves — both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Explore ancient Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain cave temples, richly carved sculptures, and breathtaking murals dating back over 2,000 years. The tour also includes key historical landmarks in Aurangabad such as Bibi Ka Maqbara, Daulatabad Fort, and Panchakki.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at Aurangabad Airport or Railway Station where our representative welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel. After check-in, begin exploring the city's historic landmarks.
Visit Aurangabad Caves, Daulatabad Fort with its secret pathways, Panchakki, Bibi Ka Maqbara (Mini Taj Mahal), Ghrishneshwar Temple, and Aurangzeb’s tomb.
Overnight stay in Aurangabad.
After breakfast, drive to Ajanta Caves, carved by Buddhist monks between the 2nd century BCE and 6th century CE. The caves are world-famous for their mural paintings, frescoes, and sculptures depicting the life of Buddha.
The horseshoe-shaped valley houses 30 caves with ancient prayer halls and monasteries, offering insights into early Indian art.
Ajanta Timings: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Closed on Mondays
Overnight stay in Aurangabad.
After breakfast, visit the Ellora Caves — a spectacular complex of 34 rock-cut temples that include Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain monuments. The highlight is the Kailasa Temple (Cave 16), carved entirely from a single rock.
Continue to Pithalkora Caves (optional), known for their early Buddhist sculptures and peaceful natural surroundings.
Ellora Timings: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Closed on Tuesdays
You will then be transferred to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.

- Sightseeing may be adjusted due to weather, traffic, local restrictions or monument closures.
- The final written quotation will confirm the exact inclusions, exclusions and services.
- A 40% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
- The balance is payable 15 days before the tour or upon arrival in India, if agreed in advance.
- Payments must be made using the official bank or secure payment details provided by Tusk Travel.
- International transfer, card-processing and currency-conversion charges are payable by the traveller.
- 60 days or more before arrival: 10% cancellation charge.
- 59–30 days before arrival: 20% cancellation charge.
- 29–15 days before arrival: 25% cancellation charge.
- 14–8 days before arrival: 50% cancellation charge.
- 7 days or less before arrival, or no-show: 100% cancellation charge (no refund).
- Issued flight, train, permit and special-event bookings may be non-refundable.
